Joel Hoeffer had a solid performance between the pipes 32 saves. He’s going to be the backup goalie next season. Kapenen has got some skills getting the puck in the net. Washington came back hard in the third period.

In addition to the two 1st round draft picks, the Blues made some sneaky good pick ups at the TDL in Vrana, Kapanen, and Blais. All three of them are 25-26 year olds with chips on their shoulders and are going into contract years.
I mean just look at the Caps’ first goal. Prime example of how useless Parayko is. Might as well been on the penalty kill…
