Got a good laugh watching the broadcast. After Trouba’s goal, as he’s skating behind the net, the camera unintentionally caught a Pens fan giving Trouba the finger. Had to laugh because we’ve all been there, getting blown out, and you are thinking “f this guy.”

I’ve already asked this question and it’s probably a dumb one but any conceivable chance we can keep Kane after this season?
Mikkola looked shaky when he first got here. Been really happy with his play though the last number of games. He’s really stepped up. Downgrade from Lindgren? Of course, but he’s been more than serviceable next to Foxy.
A serviceable backup for Lindgren has been missing for years. Kudos to Drury for finally finding someone.
Commented last game that I also like Harpur too as the 7th D.

The offense is coming together. It’s nice to see Tara and Kane do things only they can do. Kane’s pass to CK was insane, Tara’s shot is terrifying. As PK Shitban said, it’s like we have 3 1st lines right now.
The defense looked dominant at times, and extremely porous at others. What I like to see is Trouba and Mikkola have both stepped up big time in recent games. Schnieds continues to struggle, and KAM is just….he’s got some things to work out. Fox hasn’t been his dominant self but I have all the faith in the world for him. This D core is going to ADD Lindy, which is going to be insane.
Where the D let up, Shesty was there to pick up the slack. So it is written, so it shall ever be. He was a man possessed this evening and seems to be returning to form just as we need him too.
The kids are reallllly snake-bitten now. Was hoping their time on the PP would help one of them chip one in. Kakko looks to be suffering the most, he’s getting more indecisive with every game. Fil didn’t pot one but his assist on the bread goal put a huge smile on his face. As for Laffy, the kid just seems unflappable. He maintains his positive attitude no matter what which is great to see. Didn’t like him ending the game in a headlock, but would love for him to continue to get under the other team’s skin. Having players like him and trochek are good at getting guys off their game.
What does Goodrow have to do for the coach to realize he is dogshit. I know we were winning 6-0 but come the fuck on. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, anyone under 25 years of age pulls that shit, they’d be sent to Hartford.
That being said, I will actually PRAISE gallant for running the kids + Schnieds and KAM for PP1 up 6-0. A wise decision.
ESPN/National coverage an utter clown shown as usual. Rangers give you an exciting display of hockey and you all act like you’re at your mother’s funeral. they showed more of PK subban’s Instagram than ranger highlights. Ray sounded like he was tying a noose at center ice. Just pathetic. Everything was “It isn’t the rangers are good, the pens are just making boo boos” When they downplayed KAM getting sucker punched, all I could do was laugh. God forbid that happened to Crosby, they’d be trying to press criminal charges.
This is the team that was promised, this was the team on paper. When they play like that, they’re hard to beat.

On a typical postgame recap my perspective of basically every game (with the exception of the late night west coast games) BUT, tonight’s game was different. Ahem…. Ladies and Gentlemen, ELVIS HAS NOT LEFT THE BUILDING! HE’S STILL HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was purely amazing! Both sides of the puck truly amazing! Guentzel looked like a burnt Pretzel! Igor Shesterkin, OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY! Slap me silly Shesty! MWAHAHAAHA EAT IT FLIGHTLESS BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That game was like NSFW type of game against those poor birds.
Alright, now that I got that off my chest, here we go. If you were wanted a complete team effort, tonight was the night. Mika March strikes again, Artemi Panarin….”IT’S A POWER PLAY GOAL”! The penalty killing was truly amazing! Before the rangers curb stomped the Flightless birds, when it was a game, the Rangers showed the signs of not backing down. Igor was well, ideal’nyy(google translated this). A deserving shutout. Cycling the puck, forchecking, everything worked tonight. Yeah they went 1/4 on the power play, but the game was out of reach. Everyone picked up points tonight. Including Chtyil. ESPN tried to say something nice. It was such a pain for them especially Ray. Dont know why they show that he scored 408 goals. But you know who has more goals? Patrick Kane!!!!! They were so pissed the Rangers won.
Overall, Rangers win! A perfect performance from the word go! 2 points in the bag! 5 points now behind the Devils! Also, the return of last year’s rally mascot. Joining Mika Zibanecat, >!Playoff Pig!!< On the same night Arkansas basketball wins and advancing to the Sweet 16, the Rangers win. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Great win tonight.
