Unfortunately teams have adjusted to the Granato way of doing things.
The Sabres use passing lanes to play defense & offense. Hope for open breakaways by using the passing lanes (Tage against Tampa awhile ago- his hat trick). Dump ins are common when the passing lanes are not there but the Sabres do not do a good job of retrieving & forechecking once the dump ins occur. Teams are taking away the passing lanes & if the Sabres are not having a very good game of puck possession then breakdowns against us happen very frequently.
Now the other issue is the Sabres have not a franchise caliber goalie since Ryan Miller left.
Boston has only lost 11 games this year. They are destroying everyone. Sabres shouldnt feel like its their fault or problem.
Yea! Sad just sad! To be 1 point out now 8 points out of the playoffs. They just stopped playing! WHY! We as fans can blame WHOMEVER we went but the teams NEEDS to take a look in the mirror.
