  1. Can't say the kings weren't loyal to quick they gave him a contract that the league don't even allow anymore

  2. Quickie was absolutely amazing in net but I think Blake did the right thing we have a number one goalie and an excellent left handed defenceman

  3. Thank you Quickie🙏
It’s a business and yes, we are all Kings fans first. So I agree I believe we are a better team. I recall making trades with Columbus in 2012 and 2014. Let’s hope history repeats itself🤞 Go Kings Go!

  4. I think Drew might be a situation worth monitoring in 2-3 seasons. He's still great, but his contract might be an albatross then.

  5. Your a Clueless Blake Shill that don't have a clue about hockey or KIngs. LA is worse team now than before. Jacob MOverare is Better than that player they got who is LHD 28 years old wanting 3 to 5M? MEdicore MIkey is not worht 33M its over for LA. YOu traded a 1st round pick for a guy who was 6th rounder career -23 never a positve player. LA makes excuse of losing Voynov but won 48 games. Franchise Record only to have Blake be only Gm with two Top 5 picks? Bustfield over Stutzle and Turcotet over Seicer. YOur a fake King fan who started with team afer me. YOu jumped on the bandwagon. Miserable trade. Could have had this goalie free on waivers already. Even SEattle Goalie shoudl ahve claimed. 1st round Sweep or NO Playoffs!

  6. I think we could have let Quickie finish out his last 20 games here in LA and had a nice split at the end of the year but that isn't going to happen. Hope this doesn't mentally through off the players for the next few games. The bigger mistake Rob made was maybe giving up a 1st rounder for two guys that are UFA's in 20 games. I thought we would have learned our lesson after the Andrej Sekera crap when we gave up a first round draft pick for 16 games with Sekera. Also hearing Columbus is going to flip Quick back to Vegas. Great…

  7. I think just like the Dodgers getting rid of Bellinger and the Turners was just dumb! Now the Kings pull this move. I don't like it. I get it however you get rid of your leader and the Club house is not always the same! That's my thoughts! Quick was a badass!

  8. Eddie, we shall see if Blake taking the risk that they can extend Korpisalo in next 2 months or sign Korpisalo this Summer; if not then they gave up a 1st and 3rd for 2 month rentals, a bad deal. I like getting the rights to Portillo but once again that is a risk because him signing with the Kings is not guaranteed. At least Blake did do a major deal for Korp & Gav. instead of hust a minor one like last yr.

  9. I can't stand Quick, but if I was a Kings fan I would be livid. Homeboy being so close to retirement, and you trade his ass? That's cold. Ice cold, no pun intended. This dude talks like an office jockey. Toothless take, all around, bowing to the boss man. He's probably right, and I'm probably an idiot, but goddamn I've never felt so bad for a guy I fuckin' hate (Quick).

  10. Eddie you are a legend. Couldn't care less about the Kings but it is always a pleasure to listen to you.

  11. Any update on when "Locked on LA Kings" will be back on Google podcasts? I can listen to every other Locked On show I enjoy via Google podcasts except yours. Thanks.

  12. Commenting before listening all the way through but doubtful you’ll change my thoughts.

Kings are not winning the cup this year because of these two rental players.

To not let Quick finish his contract out a King and either retire at the end of the year or move on by his own accord is a shit move.

“Business deal” ya ya…unfortunately, this is a bad look on the organization and has an effect on chemistry and I have thoughts that this definitely isn’t going to help with overall team morale.

To me it was a nonsensical trade. Zero long term agreement from the players obtained and… the Kings are not a cup contender this year. They have a long way to go.

I really don’t think treating a legend this way at the tail end outweighs what the Kings got in return.

So, feelings…ya, shit move…also reality. What is the benefit of the move?

  13. I am sure you have tons of comments and responses to the trade and for the feedback. I just want to put in my thoughts.

Quick has been my favorite player since i understood what it meant to have a favorite player. If this trade happened 5 years ago, i would feel differently than I do now. But in the last few years, i have become more a fan of the game itself. While the Kings will always be my irrational first love, i closely follow three other NHL teams, loosly follow two more and follow teams in the PHF and KHL. I also see that moves like this a part of the game. Trading Quick to another team is painful, sure, but we live in an era where you can watch any game you want. I plan to continue watching Quick play just as i continued to watch Carter play and Fleury play after they were traded from my teams. At least a trade gets us something back, and we can continue to watch our favorite player. In my opinion, Brownie retiring was more bittersweet because we will never get to see him play again.

  14. NO. Absolutely not. Look at the deal the Senators made for Jakob Chychrun the very next day. That could've been the Kings. Joonas Korpisalo was a great pick up, but I think the Kings could've gotten him in a smaller trade by himself. I honestly don't like Vladislav Gavrikov at all. I think he fills the same roll Mikey Anderson fills for the Kings. He's a career negative on the +/- and his highest point season is only 5 points better than what Chychrun has done this season. That came in 80 games, and was two goal fewer than Chychrun has done in 36 games this season. While I do feel a certain kind of way about how Quick was treated, I'm way more disappointed in the missed opportunity to get a way better player in Chychrun for a term that is longer and more team friendly. If they intend on keeping Gavrikov, they will have to pay significantly more, and they run the risk of him being just a rental. I feel this was a panic move by Blake, and the Kings are a worse team than they could've been.

  15. Eddie, if true, I am delighted for Jonathon Quick to get his wish being sent to the Golden Knights. But now I worry about the mental attitude of the current L.A. Kings team. Afterall, Quick was-is-and always will be our hero. But like donald trump, Quick doesn't like to lose. I hope the Kings will remember that. they are still a bunch of millionaires and their job is to play hard and try to win games. if they mope and feel sorry for themselves, they're still not good enough to coast. I would be more pissed off if they let this season get away while acting like Quick's trade somehow changes their life's avocations! For the record, the greatest goalie to ever play for the Kings was Terri Sawchuk. And when he was traded-because of our numbnuts owner-he cried. And cooke made our manage tell him of the trade. It was jkc-the evil scumbag-who forced the trade. And Quick was retiring in 2-3 months. He'll still get the statue and the # in the rafters and likely a Hall of Fame bid! This trade gives us a chance to advance and shows Blake is really trying to reward the team this year. Believe me, the Kings have made so many/far more horrible trades, including one I resented-though it brought us a double count of band-wagon fans-but no S/C. So cheers to both Rob Blake and to Jonathon Quick for doing your jobs…Go Kings!!! p.s. now let's see if Blakey can resign these two, new additions-if they even want to?

  16. Thank You Jonathan Quick For Inspire Me To Be A Hockey Goalie. I Play Because Of You. My Favorite LA Kings Ever And The GOAT GOALIE In LA Kings History. Thank You For The 2 Stanley Cups With A Conn Smythe. Very Sad About This. Reunited With Jazz Hands Martinez

  17. The Kings have acquired enforcer Zack MacEwen for Brendan Lemieux and a 5th round pick

  18. BEST MOVE FOR LAK = I don't think Quick recovered from his hamstring injuries. I saw it coming, Copley plays they win, and Quick comes in, they lose. He certainly has not been the starting goalie and he killed enough winning streaks this season. What made Kings great in 12 and 14 was good defense and goalies. Quick had to go.

  19. It was a good move by kings, it is sad for us kings fans as that core group of home grown kings that made the kings a serious power house and cup winners is getting smaller and smaller.
