Philadelphia Flyers call up Egor Zamula amidst a shaky weekend for the Phantoms

    I just listened to your podcast. What is up with the anger about zamula being called up? Attard will obviously get a call up. Your overreactions are getting a bit much. I have said this multiple times. What is your deal with Tortarella? Evaluations will happen in training camp. That is when it matters. Cut back on the caffeine.

    Russ it has been two weeks since Briere came into his position. Stop with the nitpicking on everything going on. These callups in the end don’t mean squat. Training camp…Russ. That is when real decisions are made. What are you learning now anyway? The Flyers have nothing to play for at this point. There is going to be major turnover in the off-season. I don’t think the Flyers plan moving forward is that complicated.

    The Phantoms winning in the playoffs is nice but ultimately players are individuals. Some players are great in the minors but do nothing in the NHL. Then you have players who are a better fit in the NHL because of the structure. The AHL is a developmental league to get individual players experience until they are ready for the NHL. I love watching the phantoms but I still see it as a hot mess. It is a completely different game. The one player who has surprised me is Adam Ginning. I expect Attard, Lycksell and Brink to get attention due to their pedigree. Ginning has been panned for years as a bad draft pick. I see him as potentially a really good stay at home defenseman who can skate, move the puck and play physical. I like him more than Zamula moving forward. He is a player to watch.
