Candlepin Bowling – Mike Morgan vs. Jack Quinn

(Re-uploaded in higher quality, in HD and in one piece.) Air date: 1/25/1992. This was the week after Jack Quinn had his incredible 437 triple against Tom Surette, in what was one of the greatest matches in the history of the program on Channel 5. (You can see that match here: https://youtu.be/LA-HXkb0SG4)

Mike Morgan came in as the next opponent for Jack to face in this particular match, and it ended up being a close one nearly the whole way through, back and forth between both bowlers.

Hope you all enjoy, R.I.P. Don Gillis.

  1. I can only dream of candlepin bowling living on the other side of the US. Makes me sad

  2. Whoever the loudmouth is in the background is REALLY annoying.
34:34 I hope that loudmouth got banned after this game. If I were rolling, I'd hardly be able to concentrate.

  3. I've only done candlepin twice, once as a kid, and once in my 20s. I really wish it was popular outside of New England.

  4. This is pretty cool vs all the high tech "everyone can be perfect" (aka 300 game) ten pin bowling. It looks far more cost effective for the average person too when you don't need thousands of dollars of high tech bowling balls to be competitive.

  5. Three strings, THREE strings of candlepin bowling!! Does it get any better? Well, I suppose four strings would be better but that's just too crazy to contemplate.
