GAME RECAP: Penguins at Stars (03.23.23) | Crosby and Joseph Score



The Penguins take on the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center for their final back-to-back game of the season. Roope Hintz opens the scoring to give Dallas a 1-0 lead about halfway into the 1st period. In the middle frame, Sidney Crosby scores after re-directing a feed from Mark Friedman. This marks Crosby’s first goal in the city of Dallas; He has now scored in all 31 road arenas. In the 3rd period, the Stars take back the lead with a power-play goal from Joe Pavelski. A few minutes later, Jamie Benn furthered the lead for Dallas making it 3-1. With 6:17 left in the game, P.O Joseph found the back of the net and makes it a one goal game. In the last minutes of the game, the Penguins pull their goalie, but are not successful in evening the score. The game ends 3-2, Dallas.

  1. Played well enough to win in my opinion. Just some untimely penalties that swung the momentum in the Stars favor. Now is when we must zone in and win a lot. Crosby versus Ovechkin on home ice Saturday.

  2. This season is almost over and I can't wait to see some heads rolling after this mess of a season comes to an end. Please send that bum GM out of Pittsburgh.
