The issue is Rielly. When Rielly played with Holl, Holl was considered brutal. Now Holl is playing his best hockey. Now Rielly plays with Lilly and the same thing. The issue is Rielly. He just sucks defensively and brings his partner down with him.

Yeah, that’s what I call a good loss. They lost the game, but they were not beaten. It’s a shame they didn’t a least get a point because they earned that much, but it was a really good, well played, entertaining game. Murray was sharp and looked really good to me. If there was anything of concern it would be lack of PP results, but the PP looked really good too despite coming up short, and would have made the difference. Basically, the early 5 on 3 farked them.

Great assessment of the 4th goal, the puck is a grenade on Lilijegren's stick and Reilly out of position again..poor D and just ok goaltending won't cut it..
The biggest knock on Matt Murray is his bad luck. Every game in the past while, there is at least 1 goal that goes in no matter who's in net.
The Staal goal? It was a freak goal – no goalie stops that unless he's luck and it hits him. Same with that goal Acciari seemed to put in his own net… or the 5 on 3 snipe from the slot? What about the last game where he makes the save, but the webbing in his glove… or the one that went straight up 20 feet and falls into the net behind him…
I wouldn't be so quick to judge Murray based on the last 4 or 5 games. He always keeps the Leafs in the game.

Lilly has been fighting the puck lately. Reilly is more offensive minded than defensive. Keefe says, “put em out right after a goal, it will go well”. Bad decision in that situation. Throw the third like out with Brodie and McCabe. Lock it down and then bring out the 1st or 2nd line. Questionable coaching sometimes.
Steve complains about ref's all the time. He would be losing his mind if the Hurricanes had scored a goal like that against the Leafs

During last nights game I was amazed how many times the Leafs didn't hit the net when they took a shot. When you get your chance to shoot, HIT THE NET! Couple that with having "4 goal Murray" as your goalie and you just ae not going to win games.

Hey Steve… I've been watching Holl over the last two games and have noticed he has been taking chances on the Offensive part of hockey. My thoughts, why not? In last nights game, he actually looks good and comfortable out there doing that. He's big, I'd say to Keefe, let him loose… Make him an offensive threat… I know, that most of the thoughts coming back my way will be negative, yet I say, why not…?

Leafs were interesting in their loss and played well. The Leafs have about a 50% chance of another first round playoff series disappointment again this spring, and a 94% chance about to not win another Stanley Cup this year. Sure appreciate how loyal & passionate Leaf fans are. Of course hockey is only a game – just entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
