I don't know that I have ever seen a team let the opponent go 4-4 on the power play AND give up a shorthanded goal.
That being said, I will give the Blues credit that for a team that has been losing consistently, they battled ALL game, even fighting off a four goal deficit; that's even more impressive when noted they did it against one of the top teams in the conference.
TLDR; the blues special teams sucks in an unbelievable fashion, they don't give up, but our st Louis blues just kinda suck

Feel bad for Hofer. Kid is actually a really decent goaltender, but he got completely hung out to dry with another defensive atrocity from the Blues. If we needed any more proof of how solid Binnington has been this year while his stats suffer the consequences of completely incompetent team defense, tonight was quite the showcase. His stops were solid as usual, but his puck handling skills have to be league best among goalies. If Bortuzzo isn't in the roster, Binnington's ability to interrupt the cycle before it can even start or quickly reverse zone entry does more to keep the puck out of the net than all the play out of the rest of the roster combined.
The La Kings are going to win the Stanley Cup Title who is going to stop Adrian Kempe in the playoffs I wait
I knew Hofer was going to get crushed. Playing a rookie against a Kings team who can put the puck in the net was a fool's errand. They should have started the vet. Hopefully, they didn't destroy that young man's confidence in 5 games.

Games like this make it pretty clear who should be starting in the playoffs for the Kings. Copley has been decent but those games can't happen in the playoffs. I feel better going with Korpisalo.
