Its a tough time right now but I love this podcast so much 😂 thank you for keeping me light hearted through this
1. Luka's conditioning was supposed to be fixed this year. He was in the best shape after the off-season of any he's had here. (instead he's gotten softer as the year has progressed and has become an embarrassing whiner).
2. We all knew in Oct/Nov that this team would not go deep in the playoffs. However, the expectation then was that individual players would improve. (instead DFS, SD, Maxi, Reggie, Dwight, C Wood all played mostly below expectations).
3. Off-season 2023 would bring more talent to join Luka. (instead the team was blown up mid-season to get Kyrie Irving).
4. Kyrie has made no difference after he was acquired.
5. Kyrie leaves w/o compensation.
6. Mavs doomed to lottery for foreseeable future.
7. Luka demands and gets traded in 23-24 season.
8. No one wants to come here in FA).
9. It's the '90's again. Teams sucks until they get lucky in the draft.
Why all this drama and disfunction? Likely Jason Kidd has treated Luka like a man and Luka hasn't responded. Trading Boban may be bigger detriment to the locker room than we know. Losing Kokoskov last summer (Luka's Eurobasket coach). Losing Jalen Brunson w/o compensation was huge mistake by Cuban/mgmt.
I'm with Nick. We're passed trying to win. Tank and at least get something for a lost cause season. Tank and get a lottery pick!!!!
Niko and Cuban really screwed this team and this season up. They made all the wrong moves or didn't make ones that needed to be made. The construction and make up of this team is THEIR doing. Jason Kidd is what 90% of us believed him to be when he first sign. He's extremely overrated as a HC and still rides on his past as a player. He hasn't produced squatt and proved he has no idea how to coach super stars and I truly believe Luka is tuning him out because he lacks respect for his coaching abilities. If it comes down between Luka and Kidd……Kidd is looooong gone and rightfully so. It's time to just call it a season acknowledge your massive failures and start preparing for a big aggressive off-season rebuild.
I didn't like the Kyrie trade when it happened, as I thought they needed more defense, not more offense. So trading depth and defense for a defensively challenged inconsistent offensive guard seemed strange to me. Seems to be playing out exactly like I thought it would – poorly.
As a fan that lives in Los Angeles… I cancelled my league pass. That's how confident I feel about the season. DONE.
I feel like we forget how we saw the potential clicking that first Philly game after the trade. But the injuries surfaced for Kai and Luka and just completely wiped it. Hopefully they can get that confidence back- they will play Philly this week 🤞🙏

I can’t we have absolutely no defense this year. These a PROFESSIONAL NBA players not college or high school and they can’t play any defense at all. We can’t rebound because we dont understand that rebounding begins FIRST with positioning (boxing out). There’s no way Dwight should rebounding at the same level (low) for the last several years. He’s high energy and very athletic and has height. There are other 6’10” guys averaging double digits rebounds that aren’t as energetic and athletic doing it.
Told you this team is TRASH! Nico and Kidd have destroyed a team that went to the last WCF game! Trading 2 starters for 1 and then doing Nothing else to get more help here was the most Idiotic thing I have ever seen and this is the Results! I told you they needed at least 1 or 2 more trades to get a 3 & D Wing, Center, ball handler, but they decided to stay pat and go with that after everyone else made trades to get better but Dallas! Now we Can't Stop ANYONE! Don't have a Center, Can't rebound, or Block a shot! Time to just blow it up! Fire the Coach!! He looks like he has NO IDEA how to COACH!!!💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Sadly the new owner will look at this DISENFRANCHISED Dallas Sports Market and know he will need to move the team.

It's not Kyrie, it's Cubes who decided to bet possibly the Entire Future of the Mavs on Kyrie.
But it is dumb to think that Irvings track record is a Asterisk. I agree that this isn't on him as the Kyrie trade meant you had to make a 2nd trade for a Defensive Big and they didn't do it, and now might lose Super Big Time in the off-season on the Kyrie Experiment. And how could you blame him at this point for wanting to leave this dumpster fire.
I do find it funny how ya always talk about fans commenting and how welcome it is. Yet Issac is constantly attacking the audience. Which in a way is commendable, at least as much as it could be called "Dumb".
Now what will be called Dumb on the most direct of levels will be the Mavs HQ if Kyrie walks for nothing. And that will truly be the "Dumb and Dumber" as it's a repeat of last year's disaster.
