Thursday is going to be big. We win, we get second position and just behind the canes. We even have possibility to finish first in the metro if stars align.

  5. 90% win rate on games i have been to in the past decade.

    Lets goooo

  6. Future_Washingtonian

GG subtley dropping the ‘first place’ in the PG interview.

    Let’s.

    Fucking

    GO!

  7. whitesummerside

Kaner, Bread and Vlady saw the kids score in one game and thought they should try that too.

  8. toothless005

Missed tonights game, other than the blowout and kanes goal any thing good to take away from the game? Are lines looking sturdy and unchanged?

  9. ccasazza

I’m that meme of the guy in the suit watching the Penguins downfall

  10. Rangers now have the second-best goal differential in the NHL (+53).

Boston, as you’d guess, is first with an insane +117. Right behind us are the Devils (+51) and Carolina (+49).

The Metro is a relentless, unforgiving bloodbath.

  11. ccasazza

Unfortunately the Canes have a really easy remaining schedule. Wings 2x, Preds, Sens, Canadiens. Isles, Panthers and Sabres are their main challenging games but not extremely challenging. Rangers would basically need to win 6/8 min and need Canes to drop 4 games

  12. Substantial_Fudge717

ya know, one thing im really taking away from some of these recent blowout games vs lower level teams is that the rangers really are a top team in the league. They can play the most garbage defense of all time and still come out with convincing wins against these teams, something that was not true at all early in the season. They would always play down to their opponent and make nail biters out of free wins. Now, they are so good that even though they try to make the game close and do their best impression of a traffic cone on defense, they are too good to even come close to losing those games. Epic

  13. Schneider to Senko got me all hot and bothered. Picture perfect.

  14. Teknicsrx7

First game I get to go to for the year on Thursday, keep this up through that whole game please!. Also I’ll be bringing my lucky hat so hopefully it gives us the edge

  15. UniqueCountry

I went to my first Rangers game tonight. What a great game!!! The garden is so beautiful

  16. Fuck that trivia question though. It’s still Kelly Kisio in my book.

  17. Lipofect

What was up with all them shaking the refs hand at the end? I had the game on mute

  18. Didn’t get to watch the game but glad they took care of business. On to jersey

  19. Crimson3312

Watching the replays, and I’m loving spicy Igor

    The Hork’s View from 222

    * PLAY ME SOME BABA O’RILEY.
    * Unfortunately, I did not get to enjoy because EVERYONE wanted tenders and fries tonight. Including me…
    * First period started looking like a retread of Sunday vs the Preds. Team was alive and buzzing hard.
    * Chytil showing why there No Quit in New York or in the kids game. Vova with that deflection, magnificent! Incredible that both those lines are clicking so well.
    * Kane… My God he would not be denied. After that amazing game of keep away that didn’t produce, he got right back into it and SNIPED that home.
    * NYC Celebrities: Kelsey Asbille…  I think I need to start watching Yellowstone.
    * Rough on the two goals surrendered in the first. One I believe was just a crazy pinball that nobody could have done anything about. But the first one I believe it was on the power play… Please can we keep people out of Igor’s crease?
    * To my homie sitting next to me asking “Hey Alexa, how much time left on the first period?” just before the one minute remaining announcement, that was absolutely golden, dude.
    * Cheers to Bernard Francis, winner of the Emile Francis award for contributions to local hockey clubs. Always heartwarming to see the Rangers help out local clubs and see the people who raise the next generation of hockey fans and players.
    * Second period, overall much calmer. Just some settled down hockey. Few stupid penalties… Though that penalty against Panarin at the end of the second… Yo that was some diving bullshit.
    * No seriously… LeBron called and said that flop was bad. Come on, now.
    * Jenn had her own cheering section in 222 for the Theme Song Challenge. She won all the moneys. Gaten Matarazzo looked stumped by the last song, surprisingly enough 😉
    * NYC Celebrities: Ashley Park… guess I’m watching “Emily in Paris” now, too.
    * Panarin on the Power Play Goal! Get u/Panaringoalsandwich a plate! What kind of sandwich does Ohio do? Sometime rock and roll I imagine.
    * Kiss Cam: you go grandpa!!!
    * Third period feeling pretty chippy. Glad to see the team fighting back. Even Zibanejad drilled someone into the Zamboni doors, that was awesome.
    * Mikkola had a stretch where he was playing some great keep away, I believe in both the defensive and offensive zone. I’m happy to have another serving of humble pie and say he’s become a solid part of the team.
    * Kakko also is still a possession monster. Once he has this as complete second nature and can also look to make scoring chances he gonna be a force to be reckoned with. Mark my words.
    * Mika. Marches. On. Thank God we bamboozled Ottawa for him.
    * Trocheck put it to bed with some gabagool! 🤌
    * Before the guys did the salute, they all shook referee Marc Joannet’s hand. Turns out it’s his last trip to MSG as he’s retiring next month. 1517 regular season and 172 playoff games reffed since 1999. Good for him.
    * One hella sloshed fan in a Gretzky jersey by Tower B. *Smashed!* Enjoy Rangers game responsibly, kids, and make sure you get home safe.
    * And to the lovely woman on the 1c who, on the way in, said she was counting on my jersey’s good luck tonight, told ya so!

Solid game, granted against a second to last place team, but no complaints here. The team was solid and they look just about ready for the playoffs. I’m so here for it. LET’S GO!

  21. BarmyDevonian

Unconvinced about this team defensively especially if the first round matchup is a team like the Devils. As a team they just give up too many high danger chances.

But the overall record suggests this team is doing a lot of things right overall and there’s no denying they are downright lethal offensively if given space. It’s so refreshing to see a team this menacing in open ice.

Just going to cautiously enjoy the playoff ride.

Would like to see the likes of Fox rested a bit down the stretch so they’re fresh for the playoff grind. On the flip side, would like Lindy to get back in and shake off any rust.

  22. Key-Tip-7521

OUT HERE IN THE FIELDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While the playoff spot was clinched last night, tonight felt like imo to “earn the spot” well, they sure did. I’ll be honest about the Jackets, their young players look really, really good. Well, not defensively, I mean not having Werenski on the blue line back there hurts. I wish them nothing but the best.

Now, onto the recap. 1st period defensively, very sloppy. Turning the puck over too many times led to two goals(one on the power play). 2 gritty and dirty goals. One from Chytil and the other from Vova. Patrick (My Name’s Not Rick) Kane got one. Nice snipe! [https://media.tenor.com/Gjc3gBY-n2kAAAAC/patrickkane-showtime.gif](https://media.tenor.com/Gjc3gBY-n2kAAAAC/patrickkane-showtime.gif) and this of course [https://youtu.be/YTcZ9THPX1E](https://youtu.be/YTcZ9THPX1E).
From there, the Rangers took control really. Defensively played much better. Panarin got a nice one…whispers (It’s a Power Play Goal!). Dude also added and Apple to his bread making haha. Mika March continued dude gonna get a career high this year.
Overall, all lines played excellent. 3rd Line looked like a cycling machine i believe in the 2nd. Played smart after the first 20 minutes of the game. Looked good. Try to avoid taking stupid penalties. But well executed game.

Having said that, Rangers win! Thuuhhhhhhh Rangers Win! (yep I went there. Get use to it playoff time [and I’m not a Yankee fan]) Got the 2 points in the bag. KEEP STACKING THEM POINTS! Yes the clinched it yesterday, but I’m glad they got that earned spot. Dear Stanley Count us In!

Onto the Devils on Thursday. For a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, game. Possibly with home ice advantage on the line. Enjoy the win! For those who celebrated the playoff clinch tonight or last night, make sure you have some celebratory cork okay!(said in Francesa voice) Onto the Devils. God Save the King. Back afta Dis.

  23. Jokercard08

The Blue Jackets really hired a dude named “Mymansizleakin'” to play goalie bruh ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)

  24. Vaeltaja82

Yeah. But also worth notice who we play against. We have devils, Tampa and Toronto for tough games. Then also Washington and Buffalo x2 for not too easy games.

The toughest the Canes will face is buffalo, Islanders and Florida.

Not saying that it’s not possible. Just saying that if we keep the momentum going on IT IS possible.

  25. Algoresrythm

Chicago blackhawks Fan turned Rangers fan here and what an awesome and entertaining game . Love to see Kane making great plays whenever he had it and sniping that goal into the corner of the net like a laser beam which brings me to Panarin that goal was a LASER lol oh man and I never realized how good Shesterkin is what a monster . This team is going far .

  26. jkman61494

    Two things can be true

1). This has been one of the more exciting regular season teams we’ve seen since the pre dark age 1990s. 21 comeback wins. TWO players who may get to 90 points, one who will get nearly 75 and a third who may score 65. And 2 players with over 35 goals. Lots of fun to be had!

    2) The almost inexcusable flaws of this team has defensively are going to risk having a very short postseason unless this team figures it the fuck out in regards to forwards back checking and defensive players not puck watching. The number of times a player just was totally left open in the slot tonight made it look like an all star game.

Teams like New Jersey, Boston, Tampa and Toronto and Boston especially will FEAST on that.

  27. Maleficent-Comfort-2

Currently watching the replays and Harpur qas starting goal after goal with his passes. I like it!
