Willy would certainly love that one back
Well fuck
Lol Lyon did this to the Bruins 2 months ago
The L is on Keefe’s coaching in the last min leaving Marner and Kampf out for the full 2mins
As soon as i saw reilly and JT out together in OT i knew it was over
Yeah Willy’s probably about to get roasted in this PGT, but I thought the boys played well
Yeah JT go pressure the last man back with the puck and leave the 2 on 1 wide open nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice
Good fuck Tavares was awful tonight.
Tavares has no clue what he’s doing 3on3
Willy why
Why would Tavares take the puck carrier there against the boards giving up a 2 on 1? And of course it’s Rielly defending it. And Willy. What a disaster that sequence was lol
I never want to see JT on the ice for OT ever again
He just can’t handle it anymore, Nylander falling didn’t help, but he shouldn’t have pinched
I love Johnny but he shouldn’t see the ice in OT. He’s just too slow for that much ice. That was also a horrible read by him. Why is he pressuring Reinhart in the offensive zone on the boards when he knows Nylander is out of the play? Gifted them the 2 on 1.
Well that was a waste of time
I don’t think Keefe could’ve put out a worse trio. I can’t name one player on the team worse defensively than those 3.
Also wtf not making the PK change after the leafs dumped it deep 1 min into the late PP. Was so obvious they were gonna be gassed 90 seconds later
The highlight of this game was me putting $5 on ZAR 2 goal game and sweating a $300 penalty shot
that lose is whatever i just dont know how you dont put auston back out there after the timeout he was fucking buzzing man
leafs looked good 5on5 and shit every other situation.
This loss is on Keefe. His OT line choices are absolutely brutal. JT is slow as shit and can barely skate, yet always out there.
Absolutely mind blowing choices by keefe.
You start kampf, Mitch, and Brodie on a face off in case you lose. Smart.
Then you get another face off and you don’t do that? And to top it off you put JT (slow as shit), Willy (notably poor defensively), and Rielly?? Like what??
Florida calls a timeout and puts their big boys back out. Matthews was buzzing. And you take him off?
I’m pretty sick of losing winnable games this late in the year. But onto the next one I guess.
Marner should not have started that pentaly kill.. and as soon as florida called the time outt in ot Matthew’s should have been over the boards
tavares can’t skate good enough in OT to make up for his bad decisions. when your other forward is down and 2 players behind you, maybe don’t chase at a guy that has full control of the puck…. the guy is not built for 3 on 3 with that much ice. why not try Lafferty or some1 with more footspeed
Nearing a decade of Rielly not knowing how to defend a 2 on 1.
Why do we keep trying to force a play in OT when there’s so much ice???
Not sure how you don’t put Matthews out there after Florida called a timeout. He was flying tonight as well. Makes no sense. Decisions like that by Keefe are going to fuck us come playoff time.
I think JT might not be quick enough for 3 on 3. It’s not designed for front of the bet deflections and rebounds and he can no longer accelerate.
Why oh why is it so difficult for us to close off a game in the final minutes of play?
Late in the game, you know they are going to pull the goalie, there will be traffic in front, and you need to guard players high and low in the slot to prevent tips and rebounds.
Hard for Sammy to track that deflection. But I think we could have played a little tighter and more physical to protect the lead.
Bottom line is we shouldn’t be putting ourselves in a position to defend a 6v5. We should be increasing the goal gap on worse teams and we never seem to, as opposed to go up by one and start taking feet of gas to settle into the d zone.
