As a Parry Sounder, I approve of this!!
USC2001
Great player, but I’m more intrigued by the picture. Were they on the ice with him? Was this during a game? It looks like there are fans in the seats, but the shadows look like flash from the camera up close. I assume it was zoomed in from behind a glass, but it really does look like the photographer is in the ice. These pictures are very cool. Also, love the jersey.

Those shin guards look thick. Were people intentionally going for his knees when he played?

SINY10306
His second season (1967-68), going by the design of the jersey only worn for that season.

Don’t you mean Chicago Black Hawks star? /s
Giltar
I think he was the best – he changed the way the game was played, and all at once more kids wanted to play defense – a Ranger fan

You misspelled GREATEST DEFENSEMAN IN NHL HISTORY
blunsr
GOAT… plain & simply the GOAT.
If I was starting a team and had 1st pick, he’s it.
He obviously gets credit as the greatest offensive defenseman ever; but he is still one of the greatest offensive players (any position) ever – absolutely no one could hang on to the puck longer than he could.
He does not get as much credit as he deserves for his defense… he was amazing… back checking, shot blocking, defensive stops, checks/hits, and more.
Now throw in he could fight, and his being left-handed was an instant advantage.
Probably the most complete hockey player ever.
Sorry, I can’t resist this ‘if’… Imagine if he had. 2 good legs!!!!!
Chadrique
My dad’s favorite player of all time. And for good reason.
