  1. It would be nice to have a defensive dman award, but instead they should just stop giving to the dman with the most points. Makar is severely overrated and a liability on defense. He feeds off of the constant PP time and Mackinnon's tit. Josi and Hedman are perfect examples of actual top dmen in the league. Involved heavily in their teams wins, points and they are amazing at defense. Heiskanen is getting up there once he's paired with an NHL player.

  2. I think Zellweger is one of the most underrated prospects in hockey atm. 32 goals in the W this year and he was excellent defensively (especially in-zone) at the WJC which was great to see considering some were skeptical of him being 5'10 when Anaheim first drafted him but the more I watch him the more I notice he plays bigger than he actually is. Low center of gravity and strength on his feet allows him not to get bullied and he's an immovable object at times. His skating technique is flawless and his pivots and transitions are so clean and smooth. I personally think he'll be the Ducks' best blue liner when they're contenders again, even better than Drysdale and Mintyukov

  3. I'm amazed that nobody talks about Alexander Nikishin as one of, if not the most underrated drafted prospect. The guy has SHATTERED records for u25 defenseman in the KHL and he's only 21. Dudes got a huge frame and put up insane offensive numbers while being very solid defensively. I'm sure if a big market team had drafted him there'd be tons of eyes on him.

  4. Call me biased but i think the jets will be even better next year the namesnikov and niedeireter trade have success plus they get perfetti back. A fresh start is all they need

  5. Finally someone else realizes how good Columbus would be with bedard. With werenski they are a solid team, and with a better goaltender (no hate for merzlikins) they would become a playoff regular and contender for the cup

  6. First question for me would be easy, but not the Florida Panthers. I'd see Buffalo and Ottawa in the playoffs next year and I'd see the Lightning drop out of the playoffs.

  7. Adam Pelech is the best defensive defenseman in the league imo. And to be fair, I would always hope for the best, but as an Isles fan, I can say there is a very good chance that they miss the playoffs. The Pens will make it (it’s just a matter of 1st or 2nd wild card), but the Isles have an extremely difficult schedule in their last 7 games. They have 2 games in Washington, 2 games against Tampa, and a game in Carolina. They could easily fall off a cliff here and blow it up to Florida. However at the same time, they just beat the Devils and Florida lost again, so at what point is it safe to say that the schedule and final stretch won’t demand as much?

  8. I picked up Harvey-Pinard in fantasy when he scored 2 against the Wings earlier this year and he’s been so hot since then. He scored a hatty like yesterday. I was like “who the fuck is this Kid” and needed another forward. Great move. Love the guy

  9. 3:40 why wouldn’t CCM be interested in being the NHL’s jersey sponsor? I get it for Nike, but for a hockey brand, you’d think that would be a no-brainer, if it was ever offered to them again.

  10. Jonas brodin gotta be up there for most underrated defensive minded defenseman. Always is having to bail out matt dumba and can pretty easily keep up with mcdavid while skating backwards

  11. Miro Heiskanen is an unbelievable defensive defenseman that gets it done on the offensive side as well but he doesn’t get the attention that he deserves.

  12. Awesome video as always. I feel like this is the last year for Pittsburgh to scrape into the playoffs. Nothing about them inspires me, and they're barely in this year. I think they miss next year. I also thing Buffalo's a lock next year.

  13. If the canadiens land Bedard in this years draft with a base of Suzuki,Caufield,Ghule,Hutson,Slafkovsky, etc do you think they would have the best future in the nhl? Also love the videos keep up the good work

  14. Habs didnt make the playoffs this year, and im pretty sure, (with some good moves in the off-season, adding PLD, and maybe another scoring winger, and hopefully some luck in the lottery draft). My 2nd pick would be the Sens, well they aren't out of the playoffs yet this year, but they will be, and they have a good team, i can't see them not making it again next year either.

  15. I find Horvat to be amusing. He was having a career season on the Canucks as bad as they were back then, wanted out. Goes to the Isles and signs a monster contract and now struggling. Players really do go to the Isles to die.

Meanwhile Beauvillier is doing great in Vancouver. Bet he's happy to be off the island.
