What an awesome empty net goal by Rantanen! That's number 49, he needs 6 more to pass Sakic's record 54.
This was always going to be tough game for the Stars so I can't really be too upset with the loss. Hopefully, the Golden Knights can hang on and beat the Wild in regulation so the Stars can stay a point back of first place in the Central Division.
Coming off a back to back you could pencil this in as a loss for stars. Thank you nhl schedule makers.

Worst possible time for the Stars to have to play back-to-back games. For as close as it was during the first half of the game, fresh legs would’ve made all the difference.
