What is Bednars obsession with the Byram Girard pairing? He’s forced it in what seems like 10 games straight and in each game that pairing has conceded at least one goal. Not to mention they were in the PK tonight… to me, it makes NO sense but maybe I’m missing something…?

one thing that really bothers me, how is a Kermit like a bambi on ice?! how many times is he going to get leveled by opponents that are half his size? does he have prosthetic legs or what?!
Well said guys…this isnt a bad loss at all,& isnt as important as upcoming games.This isnt a big deal at all…but you need to go get 4 or 5 pts in the next 3-to set up the Minny,& Dallas games. Arizona isnt a playoff team,but they arent a bad team either anymore. They give us fits,& have actually given lots of good teams fits lately. Lost in OT to Edmonton,& us recently…lost by 1 to WPG,& beat Minny in OT recently. Id call them "almost mediocre"-with a chance to be good in like 2 yrs.
Thats why Friday is so key-you dont want to HAVE to win Sunday in Az,& in Anaheim on a back 2 back. The Pittsburgh game wouldve given you some more cushion,but now ya just gotta get 4 or more pts next 3 games-then we will worry bout Minny,& Dallas. Ya got no breaks or calls tonight-but also got what ya deserved. Pittsburgh is a good team,& I expect theyll make the playoffs. I think they have almost no chance to go far in the east,but if they were in the west-Id think theyd have a legit shot to go to the Finals.
Regaurding your conversation bout losses you look back on…2 come to my mind-Florida & St Louis here. Not even that you didnt win-but didnt even get to OT.Especially that St Louis game,where you had 6 on 3 for over a minute I think. Was early in the season,before St Louis turned tank,& I think Mckinnon missed the net 1,000 times on the 6 on 3.
But it works both ways-ya got 2 pts in Minny,where Giorgiev litterally stole a huge regulation win-when ya deserved to get blown out.Francouz stole a game early-in Vegas,I think.And both Edmonton games-ya were down multiple goals after the 2nd. Especially the game here-it took some help from Jack Campbell. Granted that game,& the Minny game,were in that ridiculously unfair 3 back 2 backs in 2 wks-where none of our opponents were on back 2 back.
But you can do this all day,in any sport-but especially hockey. Luck plays a bigger role in hockey,than any sport. For good,& bad-you dont get what you deserve-more often in hockey,than any other sport. Its why bad teams beat good teams more often in hockey,& you dont see teams racking up 140pts +…the equivalent of the 70+ win Bulls or GS Warriors…though Boston is giving it a run this yr. Avs last yr,were 1 of the best cap era teams ever…had 118pts…equivalent to 59 wins in basketball. Very good,but not close to unusual in basketball. Somebody wins 59 games almost every year-usually multiple teams do in the nba.But 118 pts will almost always win you the Prez trophy-though not this year or last.
