Watched Sualii in the world cup and highlights. Him going to union is a good call. It wont be has hard on his body and he gets a big payday. When or if he come back to NRL his body would be harden and he wont risk being injured as much.

Rugby union is the first form of rugby. Rugby League was born from rugby union. Also rugby union is far more popular and well known. Just saying mate. You wouldn't be playing League if it wasn't for union. It shows how talented more versatile a player is when he/she can switch to a different form of sport. That's what we see here in the U.S…l don't get the hate on the kid either. He's representing Australia 🤦

Rugby Union is such an important feeder to league, weird for the panel to say that money could go to grassroots when even if it did, NRL scouts will pluck the kid out as a teenager and offer them more money

Too much hate on the sport that spawned the same game the cheese plays right now…. League was doing it for years with union players, but now everyone wants to have a sook when players go the other way…. "Play rugby, you can see the world… league, you can see wigan!"
Imagine the development we'd have in Rugby League if it went back into the School system and they cradled talent the way the elite schools cradled their union players.

Love the cheese, hit nail on the head! I think all criticism towards Sualii being all about $$$ is fair & not untrue. Sualii clearly screwed over Souths, then Roosters as a platform to make a name of himself before next phase of his original plan to defect to union to rake in as much $$$ as he can. I bet in 3-5 years time he'll next screw over the ARU & end up playing rest of his career in some rich Japanese or French rugby union club. ARU are idiots bending over backwards to kiss Sualii's ass at expense of their own loyal, hard working grass root players aspiring to also be wallabies. So Criticism of Suaill being a mercenary who only cares about $$$ is 100% deserved. But at end of day, let's face reality for vast majority of professional sports stars, ultimate factor is $$$
