The legs on this team are just gone. Time to move on from some of the older players this offseason.
I want the team to qualify for the playoffs but feel that it would be better long-term not to because they’ll finally get the dose of reality that they need.
Since feb 17 we are 12-7-2 which is a .642 pts percentage. Which is mostly, maybe all?, without barzal. I don’t like how we looked the last 4/6 games. But the season is still in our hands and even if we’re in trouble I’m not super worried.
I think we win at least 3 of the last 4 which in my mind guarantees a spot. Florida and Pitt aren’t both winning out.
And if we miss playoffs this season it comes down to one thing and one thing only. It’s not blown games earlier in the year, it’s not an ot loss vs Columbus. It’s having the fucking 31st ranked pp in the league. No other team anywhere close to us is in the playoffs. The kraken are the next playoff team and they’re ranked 23rd
Yeah, well at least we don’t chant “cheaters never win” after penalties like a bunch of morons.
