the amount of hate I see for this guy everywhere I look is sad. Especially from the team that drafted him and had him for years. Hope he flourishes as much as he possibly can with us

They don’t want him to succeed because it implies their franchise mishandled him. Besides the point sheet, he has looked very good lately imo. I can see his potential.

All he needs is more confidence.

I’m happy we have him. He just needs time and coaching. He’ll get right In Carolina.

I don’t think anyone would have cared if he was an off-season acquisition. I’m confident he is going to be good but in the meantime he is the target of people’s frustration because he was the only forward we added at the TDL, and that wasn’t the best idea for a team going for a cup run, but that isn’t his fault. Had we gotten him and say, Timo, I don’t think he’d have the same ire directed at him either.

Let the oil country hate. Their system is built around having superstars who do everything. Ours is built around not having a superstar and every single team member contributing in their own way. Watch pool party’s story be like KK.2.

This is pathetic fan behavior, yeesh. I forget how toxic things can be for players in other cities.

The difference between the fanbases. From The Hockey News article on KK posted here today:
“Here in Carolina, the life is so much easier,” Kotkaniemi said. “You don’t really stress about anything. Great teammates. Great staff. The media is not bad. It’s really a stress-free life here.”
You want a competitive team but to get there you need a team that is a team, not a bunch of players. Haters are going to hate evidently.

The Canes rightly are not making a cup run this year. They are a good team but they shouldn’t have been all in at the trade deadline.
Next year and the following 2 years they should be all in.
They are going to win a cup soon.

Canadian fans and media are brutal. It’s the same thing that goes on with KK. They’re all up in a fuss today over that Hockey News article about him. I appreciate our fanbase for cheering on players who move on. The only one that seems to get everyone’s collective hate is Haula and he earned that by being a dick.

Embarrassing analysis of his work.

Don’t Canadians have a reputation for being nice lmao. Poor Freddie got really beat up in Toronto too, didn’t he?
ETA—stereotype, not reputation. Apologies

KK was “hated” and is now flourishing, I think we will see the same with Pulujujarvi especially during off season training. He will come back next season better prepared for the teams style and renewed chemistry with Aho.
