Poor man’s version of the Boston trade? Geesh. Leafs aren’t quite done yet. Dubas has been really sharp with his trades so far.
How the hell is this a poor mans version of what Boston did? The Leafs picked up O'Reilly and Acciari before that lame deal the Bruins made, Toronto has a better roster than the Bruins on paper. Boston is built on ONE line, that don't work in the playoffs and I would not be shocked to see the Bruins get ousted in the first round.
Id love for the leafs to try and trade for tom wilson…if they pull that off look out…dude is exactly what the leafs need…

If the leafs can't beat the Bolts and B's with this line up I think they need to do a makeover. The makeup of this group has to change if they can't get past the first round this year. Auston and Willy are in jeopardy of leaving the leafs if you can't win in the first round.
I hope my sens get a top 4 defenseman and a depth guy. Sens need to upgrade Zaitsev, Harmonic and Holden this summer.

I didnt even think Jake Muzzin was great when he was healthy and in our leafs line up. At this point i would take anything over him -even Holl. Automatic win in my books
Keep Murray. If he gets healthy by playoffs and samasonov goes down you still have a guy with experience who can go balls out until something pops! He can get you a win in game 6 or 7 if Samsonov isn’t playing well tbh. You can’t find another goalie with his two cup resume anywhere

Trade matt murray? Sit him out till the damn playoffs so you can use his cap space money for another player like a D or another goalie lol do what tampa did a few years ago
It's pretty simple at this point. Tavares, Nylander, Marner, and Bunting are lighting it up. If they continue and Matthews keeps up with the two goals as he did last game, they can go far. I don't care about the 'D' anymore, or the goaltending, the available firepower with our core players and the trades has amazing potential.
The Leafs stars haven't really been there in the playoffs so far, they change that, and they will be able to outscore any opponent, IF they change that!
I've seen this movie before …all the hype …We won't know if ANY of these moves make any difference until PLAYOFF MODE kicks in …Regular season teams with potential …usually get ousted by playoff BEASTS !!! MAYBE NEXT YEAR …
Dubas pulls off an absolute HEIST, yet again. We now have 7 absolutely viable defensemen signed through next season, a bottom 6 with character and snarl, and a 3-headed monster at centre.
Sammy earned the #1 goalie spot it's up to Matt if he wants to compete for the #1 spot.
Smart moves by KD. I think he did a great job adding the various components the last few days. It’s up to the players now to do it. I’m sick and tired of my buddies ripping on me for the leafs not winning a first round since 2004 LFG!!!

This has to be the deepest Leafs team I've seen since the 93 squad and they went to conference final don't know if this team will do that but they have a better chance than in recent years
