everything about this interaction was perfect. oshie didn't mean to hit lindgren like that, you could tell right away that he was concerned for lindgren. panarin stands up for his teammate, but the ref stops him because he realizes oshie is just checking on lindgren. and then goodrow comes in and oshie answers the bell. at the end of the fight, you even hear, "you good?" "yeah". oshie even taps goodrow on the hip like "good job".
Ranger fan here since 1988. I love Oshie, always have. The hit was borderline, but man does TJ answer the bell honorably, and he was immediately concerned with Ryan's wellbeing right after the hit. I hate to see 55 out – it kills us – but I'd take 100 TJ Oshie's in this league anytime.
I didn't like the hit by oshie at all but you can tell he's not a dirty player and he realized what he did right after it happened. And then after the fight saying "you good" and tapping goodrow after the fight. I'm a rangers fan and I don't like the hit but it would be different if it was Tom Wilson doing it. I like Wilson but he's known to play with passion and do some kinda dirty things

I went to a rangers caps game back in 09 and the rangers were winning 4-0 with 5 minutes left in the second period and ovi completely changed the game. He scored twice had two assist and the caps beat us in overtime 5-4. I will never forget the way ovetchkin completely changed the game around though. It was hard to watch but at the same time a great show on ice that I will never forget. I've been to so many rangers games at msg but nothing will ever compare to ovetchkin bringing them back down 4-0

When Oshie came up and saw numbers, he should have eased up and not driven Lindgren's shoulder into the boards leading to an injury, Should have been a penalty.
I am tired of being a Ranger fan and see them really do nothing. This happens when other teams know that the Rangers will not retaliate when someone injures their players. Getting rid of Reeves was a real bad trade. Other teams consider the Rangers are soft and easy to play against. You are not going to win the Cup being soft.
Oshie's hit from this old guy's view could have been call boarding charging or roughing. The spearing could have been hooking or interference. Has boarding and charging been removed from the rule book? The new world order is get a piece of anyone near you regardless if they have to puck or not. The sneaky push, shove, hold, wack, grab, poke, has gone way beyond what hockey should be. All in the name of selling tickets in the U.S. because it leads to even more chippy play which leads to more fights which sells more tickets.
