This recent losing skid could have been a really easy textbook “I told you so” about the dangers of buying into the Canucks play with Tocchet and carrying it over to next season. But in reality it’s just silly to try and quantify any of this end of season play whether it’s good *or* bad. Next season’s team is a brand new roster. We won’t know how they play until they actually play.

  2. LordHarkon1

just here rooting for Petey to get 100pts at this point to be honest

  3. dattroll123

petey gets a point, tank continues on. WIN WIN.

0 shots in that double minor PP LOL

  4. dontmatterme810

This franchise is pathetic. Seattle is going to make the playoffs with less talented players in their 2nd year in the league. Unbelievable.

  5. Ruilin96

It’s one thing to tank but it another to play like absolute trash. Time to bring back those exciting high scoring losses for the rest of the season. Except for the Flames gotta find a way to pull out 1 last W against them and that’s it.

  6. bendover456

Reminds me alot of how we were playing to start the year. Just had no urgency and the powerplays felt meaningless

  7. ANarrowUrethra

McDonagh is getting better every game and he was the prototypical north south wall guy Tochett has been talking about. I think he’s going to start moving up the line up.

  8. icantthinkofaname940

Only putting up 16 shots is quite pathetic. Boeser, Miller and Giuseppe combined for 11.

  9. HanSolo5643

That was pathetic. I understand this team has nothing left to play for but seriously show some pride for God’s sake. Secondly, the coaching bump has worn off. I do wonder how many games like this and how many seasons before the front office and ownership come to the conclusion that everyone else has. This team simply isn’t good enough.

  10. NinCross

    7OA pick & 6.5% odds looking tasty

Lost 4 in a row for the tank 🙂

  11. Myers is the worst. Tocchet is questionable for letting him play on the PP and empty net. Delia is not good and I hope we can find a good backup next year. Garland had a great game so I’m pissed he had to finish negative due to brain dead defense. I hope they actually experiment with lines the last 5 games especially PP1 since it’s been ass.

  12. julesieee

Overall not too terrible night. I predicted the score correctly, a loss means Bedard is closer to us, and Flames lost to the Hawks. 😍

  13. jackfrench9

Just such a pathetic game in almost every way. Delia in the net with no idea where the puck is. No cohesion or plan going forward on the PP. A 5-on-3 wasted, a double minor wasted. The body language on the Canucks bench at the game was just putrid. A steaming pile, that game.

  14. RonTussbler

In other news, we made the right decision keeping Demko and walking away from Marky three years ago, huh? Yeesh, Calgary…

  15. TheImageworks

The one true takeaway from this hellscape of a year is that the team desperately needs a new second goalie (and might want to try someone out before the offseason). Delia is not it, and while he showed a tiny amount of early promise has regressed majorly

  16. joeyandkuma

I actually am starting to believe this could be a playoff team next year.

I think the coach finally started tanking the past 2 games as well by giving the guys they are evaluating more pp time etc.

  17. monkey314

If Demko was still healing we could have been in the 50s for points

  18. Terrible effort tonight. 0 shots on a 4 min PP. No scoring chances on a 5 on 3. How are people saying Tocchet is a good coach? Doesn’t call a timeout when they gave up 3 straight. Fuck off.

  19. TheOtherSide999

I watched the highlight video and the only thing memorable was the nice first goal by kuzey and petey and the horrible myers giveaway that led them the shorthanded goal

holy fuck if its a myer’s memorable play, you know its a game bad

  20. curdledwang

Still a better performance than the Sarah McLachlan band

  21. Looks like tank is back on the menu boys!

Albeit if it’s a smaller one…. Canucks are going to Canuck 🤷
