Let Patrik cook. Guy has a good eye for talent. Aside from Lazar (whose ineffectiveness here I can’t quite wrap my head around) and Studnicka, he rarely misses. The difference between him and Benning on scouting D in particular has been striking.

Well, slap my stick and call me a goalie, because the news we just received is sweeter than a maple syrup-drenched pancake! Our team has just signed the incredible Cole McWard to a two-year entry-level contract, and I can feel the rink shaking with excitement!
This defenseman is the missing piece of our puzzle, the icing on our cupcake, the puck in your net! He’s got more talent than a hockey stick has splinters, and we can’t wait to see him fly down the ice with his lightning-fast moves and jaw-dropping skills.
We’ll be cheering him on like a rowdy bunch of fans in the stands, because we know he’s going to take us to the top! Let’s give him a warm, cheesy welcome, and show him that he’s part of our family now. Who needs a hat trick when you’ve got Cole McWard on your team? Am I right, folks?

He’s leaving school early so some bonus money and a few roster days is the incentive to make the jump.
Ok Allvin is starting to impress me. If he can somehow move Myers and/or Garland for cap space then we are really heading in the right direction
I’m not a fan of this management group for how they handled Boudreau. But I have to admit it’s refreshing to see all the early contracts signing instead of at the deadline or ran out of time.
