Habs lose 5-2 to the Washington Capitals in St. Louis coach debut | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 46



The Montreal Canadiens played tonight at home in the Bell Centre against the Washington Capitals without Ovechkin, Oshie, and Mantha and would end losing to them by a final score of 5-2 in regulation. In the 1st period Joe Snively would score his 1st career NHL goal and 20 seconds later Connor McMichael would give the Capitals the 2-0 lead into the 2nd period. Carl Hagelin would make it 3-0 in the 2nd but Rem Pitlick would make it 3-1 before quickly after Joe Snively gets his 2nd career goal for the 4-1 lead before COLE CAUFIELD WOULD SCORE HIS 2ND OF THE YEAR, 4-2 Capitals into the 3rd period where the lone goal after Cole Caufield was robbed of his 3rd was scored into the empty net by Tom Wilson to seal the 5-2 victory for the Capitals. With this loss the Canadiens are now 8-31-7 with 16 points maintaining last place in the NHL standings.
