For the first time since the 2009-2010 season, the New Jersey Devils swept the season series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Dawson Mercer collected his first career hat trick and continues to add toward his impressive season. Not only that but Dougie Hamilton is also having a historic season as a Devils defenseman. This win was much needed after the Devils’ embarrassing loss to the Winnipeg Jets in their previous outing.

The Devils were just blitzing the penguins 🐧 yesterday. Bahl, Hamilton, and Mercer were huge in that game
Great win. Just wish this team could be a little more consistent down the stretch here. Seems like they alternate between good and bad games.
Dawson has been currently outplaying everyone in his draft class, not named Tim Stutzle. A complete draft robbery by Tom Fitzgerald.
Hischier and Mercer have the same high hockey IQ. Their chemistry is great. Hischier such an underrated playmaker.
