That’s the type of win that could really get the team playing for each other. Perfect timing before the playoffs. I believe this game will be the stepping stone for great things.

  2. elfinito77

TNT either chose to not mention it or just missed…

But all 1st half of the game Perry was taking extra slashes and bumps on Igor. (The 3rd time led to Fox taking the bad penalty for slashing…that was more of a straight up spear on Perry. Again commentary didn’t even all comment on the series or what Fox was so pissed about. Which was that Perry came in and slashed down on Igor after whistle. )

They didn’t seem to realize why the Rangers were going after Perry.

I hope Vesey and Motte get plenty of ice time come playoff time. Feel the more time they get, the more time the puck will be in the opposition zone and the less this team will be scored on. Both are playoff built gamers that were outstanding tonight.

Commented in the Game Thread that I hope GG considers moving Vesey up if a lack of offensive zone time is an issue.

  4. WrittenSarcasm

Very Rangers to get Lindgren back only to lose Trouba the same game.

  5. dr00bles1

Sounds like Troubs is traveling with the team

  6. Fedbackster

In the playoffs teams will target Igor like the dirty Tampa team tonight. I love Harpur and Schneider for their physical play tonight but I miss Reaves.

  7. will122589

Rangers with a statement win on national TV and the Lightning embarrassed themselves on National tv with cheap dirty hits that even had the usually biased against the Rangers crew just shaking their head in disgust at the Lightning actions.

Killhorn spearing Igor in the nuts and Colton not fighting Schneider but jumping Schenider like a loser after a clean hit both should warrant a suspension from the league but it won’t happen.

And after dropping 6 on Vasy, Harpur just drops Perry like it’s nothing in a fight was the perfect end to this game. BRING ON THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS

  8. greysfordays

I would pay money or start a crowdfund effort for a Jomboy breakdown on this game, so many skirmishes, so much lip reading to sort through

  9. elfinito77

After this emotion…and the travel, and lack of much meaning tomorrow….

It may be one of those games…Bad loss and Blais hat trick incoming. Lol

  10. Fedbackster

Didn’t realize the Rays were dirty lowlife pieces of shit.

    #LETS GO RANGERS

SOLID WIN BOYS – hope Troubs is ok and that Kane got some good rest

  12. BK2Jers2BK

Can someone explain to this hockey dilletante why slashing Shesterkin in his twigs and berries isn’t a 5-minute Major??

  13. LIONEL14JESSE

I am begging someone to make a highlight of Harpur shit talking Perry at the end. I need it.

  14. manticore16

Just the way I drew up my first Rangers game. Two goals from Tyler Motte!

I love the setup on the Panarin PP goal. Shifting Zib off his normal 1 timer spot and moving him low at a wide angle caused all kinds of new space and confusion for Vasi. It got the puck off the usual parenter spot and on Panarin stick much closer to the dot. Then they had Vasi really jumpy trying to keep Zib in his vision while Kreids just rolled up in front from the weak side and Panarins shot totally caught Vasi off guard. But it all starts with the setup rolling Zib down low for a wider angle 1 t

It’s a great wrinkle to add in.

The Rays showed everyone on national tv what dirty pieces of trash they are. They played dirty and started fights but we still absolutely embarrassed them. Harpur on Perry at the end was the cherry on top. Also Jon Cooper is a phony prick.

Edit: Hah! Catching up on baseball and typed that one out wrong. Leaving it.

  17. 0fckoff

Now THAT was the type of game I’ve been wanting to see. Win or lose, that was competitive high intensity playoff hockey. What a great game.

  18. Zero-jiggler

“Your honor, the puck was loose, so it was ok for me to spear the goalie in the balls”

    🤡🤡🤡

Found out today that my landlord is selling the house I’m renting and I need to move out, but the Rangers won a big game, my boy Chrissy got 2 goals, the bar is currently blasting Journey Don’t Stop Believing, and I’m completely shittered WOOO LET’S GOOOO!!!

  20. Juggalo_holocaust_

Keith Jones said the game was exciting, so did Hank. Same thing after the Calgary game with every commentator voicing their pleasure. Old time hockey is fucking gold.

  21. Wesley__Willis

Trading for Motte every deadline during the impending dynasty years you love to see it

  22. geesusway

Does anyone have a video of harpur smacking the shit out of perry. I wanna show it to my mom lol

Tbh, at some point during the game, I almost fell asleep. Boy good thing I didn’t snooze off. So, here it is:

1st Period: Rangers get out to a fast start. Christopher James Kreider scores from his spot…(it’s a power play goal!) and he’s now 5th all time in Rangers goals. That’s right. TOP FIVE BABY!!! Kakko got one. “Wow it’s a nice goal.” In the process Trouba gets hurt. Hope he’s okay. Motte also got one. Hold the juice, hold the sauce, but eat those apples. Should have been stopped. Dumb penalties in that period.
2nd Period: Was it known for goals?, nahh. Very physical. Too physical. Below the belt physical. No spearing call? But if a Ranger did OH MAN! HE’D BE BANNED FOR LIFE. Fights, big hits. Looking at you Schnieder. Damn young man. Got that baby Trouba in him. Stay off the tracks CJ! Oh yeah there were goals.
3rd Period: Igor made big saves, Kreids got another one (what a move by Mika) and Bread got a power play goal. Fox has 58 apples this year oh yeah. But more importantly, Ben Harpur showed how old Corey Perry is. Hell Yeah.

Overall, some wide open hockey at some point during the game. But, as what Turk said, felt like a playoff game. Sure did. For the Rangers to play those high scoring games, as well as playoff games that are 1-0 games is HUGE come playoff time. More importantly, Rangers win! 2 points in the bag. But in reality, at this point(no pun intended), try to stay healthy in the final 4 games of the season. less minutes to banged up guys. Do whatever you can to stay healthy. Great team effort. Onto the Blues tomorrow night. In St. Louis. Ew. Thanks Gary. Whatever. God Save the King. Back afta dis.

    Kakko scored so…… [https://youtube.com/shorts/4Hlk3NxC-Qs?feature=share](https://youtube.com/shorts/4Hlk3NxC-Qs?feature=share) or [https://youtube.com/shorts/bhSIlwq3AK0?feature=share](https://youtube.com/shorts/bhSIlwq3AK0?feature=share)

Lindy came back!!! YAY! We really missed him. Team was on 🔥🔥 in the first and was not playing. They got Tampa salty pretty quick. Another solid 1st. The 2nd wasn’t the best but we did still hold our own. Shesty made some fantastic saves tonight! Kids, 4th lines doing their usual thing. Kreider seems to want his ice time back and showed up tonight. Good to see! Guys stepping up to defend, check, and fight as needed. While we missed Trouba on the ice, the team made sure he wasn’t forgotten. Great 3rd. They still played 60 min and of course, Igor IS better. Tampa are just dirty asshats. Glad we showed them! Crazy back-to-back with St Louis tomorrow. Let’s not stop. No quit in NY! Until tomorrow night! LGR!

  25. Clear_Willow3379

Hard hits, greasy goals, fighting etc. And most of you thought they werent ready lmao. Lots of character especially when missing two key players.
