  1. Last summers trades and drafts were insane and now we get a really exciting deadline… a really good time to be a fan of NHL. I'm really anxious to see what happens to Giroux, Hertl, Forsberg, Lehkonen…

  2. I don’t really get how with durcharme during the playoffs the Habs and caufield were great, but then to start the year both of the two I previously mentioned were not very hot. Very confusing!

  3. Do all teams have the same LTIR cap rules? Yes. Then what the hell are people upset about? There is such an option, use it. Or don't, but don't be upset that someone knows the rules better.

  4. Do a video about Slafkovsky please. He won the mvp of the olympics as a 17 year old and had a goal per game. Scored most of the clutch goals.

  5. Caufield was playing on the 4th with 10 minutes a night with grinders. He was supposed to play a defensive game and that’s not what he is. It’s kind of like the Torts situation with Laine. Both are goal scorers and if they don’t get the opportunity to do exactly that, they can’t thrive!

  6. Love the channel man !! Have you ever been in talks about getting rights to put game clips on during your videos ? I think it would be sweet if for a vid like this, if there was game highlights of forsberg & caufield well you talked

  7. I don’t really care about the LTIR thing but there is a different situation between the leafs and the knights

  8. Love this new series!! Definitely one of my favourites and it’s great just to hear your thoughts on whatever. Keep up the great work!

  9. Video Idea Deal or no Deal Deadline edition.

    F M Abaramov
    25% Of Foresberg’s contract
    Also love the Hockey Content

  10. NHL should do some rule change about ltil players. Mayby teams could not use players that are injured at the end of regular season or something. Tampa started that and now other teams follow. It wont stop be4 some rule change.

  11. nashville has a ton of cap room , if it isn't broke why make the change . this is a pie in the sky rumour at best . if you think forsberg is better than toffoli then why not re-sign him to a bigger longer contract . looking at the nashville lineup they are better off keeping forsberg . nashville has over 10 million in cap space and to offer forsberg the same contract as two other preds at 8 million only that would bring the nashville cap room to 8 million

  12. Love the series! Curious to know, does a team need to verify that the player they placed in LTIR is actually injured? Or could a team bury a bad contract that way?

  13. I believe you're incorrect about Muzzin. He's on the IR, not the LTIR. It should also be noted that you can put players on the LTIR retroactively, so even if he's on the IR for another couple of weeks, they can adjust it so that he's been on the LTIR since Saturday.

  14. Clicked for the subject and then you go into Muzzin and the Leafs. Getting tired of these my dude. And yeah, hate me for being critical.

  15. I like Dangle's take on the Stone's LTIR. Instead of forcing himself to play hurt the rest of the season in an attempt to make the Golden Knight's as competitive as possible, Stone is able get better now. It is better for him, not only as a hockey player, but as a person, to do this.

It's the same with Muzzin. Yes, him hitting his head on the ice was a scary situation, and with his concussion history he should take as cautious as an approach as possible, but there seems to have been something else ailing him all season as his play has been off. Forcing him to rest through it will be better for him in the long run.

I am still for closing the LTIR loophole that Tampa (and Chicago) used by just making any player who isn't on an entry level deal unable to play for your team in the playoffs who hasn't played at least 1 regular season game.

  16. I agree with you on the cap situation. Some may forget that the Blackhawks did the same thing in one of their runs to the Cup and you don’t really hear anyone complain about how the Blackhawks were illegitimate winners

Great content as always keep it up!

  17. Working for the Nashville predators organization, I can tell ya that they are shopping him to see what they can get. A deal would’ve been made by now tbh.
This is one of two things:
Forsberg just clearly doesn’t want to stay in Nashville and at least has let poile know that’s his choice privately.
    Or,
Forsberg wants to chase a cup this year. Even the predators being a playoff team, the probability of them making it to the finals and even winning the cup is very slim.
We would have to beat Vegas, or Colorado at one point in time. Going the other way, we might be facing Florida, Carolina, Boston, Toronto or Tampa in the finals most likely. Carolina is a powerhouse right now and I don’t see the preds winning that series. They could win against Boston and toronto playing a very defensive game and keeping their hot shot scorers off the score sheet and praying that saros stays healthy and plays lights out hockey all the way through.
Tampa and Florida are tough teams to beat. It’s just really rough to see them going all the way this year.

  18. I was very skeptical about Martin St Louis given his lack of coaching experience and the unfortunate constraint Montreal has to always have a French-speaking coach, but obviously it's hard to not be convinced right now that he's doing a really good job! Not just giving freedom and confidence to his players, but also quickly fixing systems problems.

  19. Trade Caufield?? NO WAY!! Him and Suzuki remind me Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya!! Chemestry is all!

  20. My personal opinion on the cap is it is what it is but if they were to improve it maybe they make a cap for post season but add like 5 mill extra or something go the teams actually going through a big injury they can still get depth during off season but have to watch they’re moves and for teams cheating the cap they can’t just go out and trade for one of the best players on the block because they would have to watch what they are doing cap wise

  21. Martin St Louis is the perfect coach for Caufield, like Cole, Martin is small that’s what it is. He’s figured out a way to use him properly

  22. Nice to get away from Putin news for a second. Here in Finland nothing else really matters in media. Hockey channels are nice way to calm down and get something else to our minds.

  23. Preds better hope they get the return he is worth if they opt to trade Forsberg or it will piss off a lot of fans

  24. Forsbergh is dynamite and still young being only 27yrs old…what a game changer he would be for a playoff team , he would even make the canucks a legit cup contender let alone what he would make carolina or boston or stl or minnesota or pittsburgh or any playoff team…he is so much more then a goal scorer

  25. Nhl deal or no deal:

To Arizona: Auston Matthews, John Tavares

    To Tor: keller, schmaltz, 1st round pick 2022, 2nd in 2022, 2nd in 2023

Matthews becomes the face of arizona revitalizing their franchise while also taking on tavares contract

Toronto gets a great winger, likely a first overall pick to replace a top 6 center. And most importantly schmaltz doesnt make a ton and toronto receives much needed cap space and futures.

  26. People need to chill with the cap circumvention hollering.
First off, Vegas is not better off without Stone and there is a very real chance they simply miss the playoffs. Leafs are gonna hurt without Muzzin and no one planned this. MTL is by far the team with the highest cap and they are down in the dumps. Going overcap is not a guarantee of success just like tanking isn't either. Now, IF you have issue with it, you have an issue with the NHL, not with GMs doing their job and icing the best possible team.

  27. I found the cap issues really similar to what’s happening in the NBA with player taking off nights for no reasons. It’s in the cba and it’s safe for the player but at the same time the fans are not getting the regular final product while also taking advantage of the calendar or the salary cap in that case, love the vids bud
