  1. The jets get a break then try to press for another goal then Calgary ties it up after this and that’s it for hockey tonight for me.

  2. how much are the jets paying the refs for this game???? Epically Crap refs this whole game so far

  3. The goalie foot started out side the crease, and yes skater went through a small area of the crease but only after the goalie's foot hooked him.

  4. For any of you who say this was a good goal and Calgary got robbed, educate yourselves. This is cut and paste directly out of the NHL rulebook. The Calgary player's contact impaired the goalkeeper's ability to defend his goal. Even if you want to call it incidental contact, that is only allowed when the "attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact." He made no effort to avoid contact. He hit the goalie's foot with his stick and his skate, spinning him and impairing his ability to defend the goal. The crease has nothing to do with anything. If you analyze this exactly according to the rules it is goalie interference and a good call.

Rule 69.1 Interference on the Goalkeeper
Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking

player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s

ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an

attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a

goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact

with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when

such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the

attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.

  5. Guess banging away for a rebound shot is too much for poor ol' helly. Might as well tell the skaters "dont try that hard, its only a game"
