I know I’ve mentioned being impressed with him on more than one occasion for really making things happen off of a good FO win and he’s been solidly good all rest in the circle . But I didn’t realize how good he’s been. I know it’s not the most important or sexy stat around but it’s still really impressive to me and heck on an impotent pp pr start of a brutal ot, having a guy that’s more often than not gonna reliably win is such a good perk to have in our back pockets. Maybe there’s something here with the bmw line and Bastian’s inclusion in the lineup being a winning formula. Could be overthinking it because I can’t sleep and found this stat surprising lol

Mikey was 7th last year too.
Been insane at the dot for a minute.
*To Haula’s credit, on the powerplay his faceoff percentage is 69.8%.
McLeod and Hischier are top 20 in SH faceoff % and top 10 in defensive zone faceoffs.
**That said**, on the flip side oh boy. Hughes is last in faceoff percentage, especially defensive zone faceoffs. Like bad. 24.1%, 2nd worse is 34.9%. 2nd worst in the offensive zone behind Stutzle.
Nico is 5th in the league in total face-off wins this year
Nope. Just you.
Mikey will probably never meet the expectations from his draft number, but he’s really come into his role on the team, and I like having him here.
Now, maybe can he spend the summer teaching Hughes how to take a faceoff?
Yeah, McLeod has been really good with them. Large reason you’ll see him making an occasional overtime appearance, win the face off to get us possession and then straight off the ice.
I knew he was third was of last week. Didn’t see him hop over Bergy for second. He’s 100% our faceoff specialist and has one numerous critical dzone draws for us
Nah he got that Travis Zajac training so hes been sneaky. After Z retired Mcleod became a big faceoff guy for us. All imo i could be wrong
They mention this every game…
It’s the main reason he’s still got a job with the Devils.
