  1. Hey Gil did you see the story on Bailey on the Hockey Writers site ?

  2. There is always optimism. Yet there is always the possibility of a late season melt-down that costs isles a playoff spot. One team-i believe it was flames two seasons ago-fkd away a playoff spot in last week. Isles are too jekyll and hyde to even predict what they will do with four game left.

  3. I think they're done….Fulp and Mitchell will get 10 or 20 games in Bport…then they're gonna become the 2nd pair next season…we need Pelech,Pulock types in the top six….Dobson is becoming trade bait

  4. The mistakes made this season from management alone is an embarrassment! This roster in the beginning knowing they needed scoring is the root! Lou is a antique. That said, not trading a goalie for more talent is another joke. Aho is a bust. Everyone knew it 2 months ago. Power play if you want to call it that is bush league. Horvat has disappeared since Barzel went down. They came together to spite all of this but ,poor coaching plus not enough talent buys you an early exit. I'm not happy about it, but we are not beating anyone but ourselves. As usual.

  5. Finally someone else said Bailey is a detriment to the team and can not dress if they make the playoffs !

  6. Management doesn't need to fire Lou. Just talk about needing a new voice as he packs his stuff. We need a modern GM who actually knows what kind of roster it takes to win and knows how to go get it.

  7. Good morning all. Gil, you certainly nailed it again today. I do have a glimpse of optimism right now. I'm going to hope for the best. The game tonight against Tampa has to be different than the last one against them. Get tonight's game under our belt with a good showing and we can all feel a little bit better about their chances. Either way, I love watching hockey. I'll try my best to find the good in every game. Let's Go Islanders!!
