Oilers Vs Boston final 4-2 boston win
It’s Desharnais but all g
My kid is an Oilers fan and I'm a B's fan. He's hoping for a BvO final, I'm just hoping the bruins survive the President's curse.
If they can do that, they have one hell of a stacked team. 2x the depth of the Oilers. A few years ago the Pens were favored to win against the bruins in the playoffs and the B's skunked them because they put 3 guys on Crosby. If McDavid and Draisaitl can't pass they're in trouble. Oilers have some issues on the 3rd and 4th line, and I've watched them all year, goaltending straight up is nowhere as good as the B's, and the stats back that up.
Anything can happen in the playoffs, but honestly the comment section sounds like a leafs message board. All the plusses but nobody saying what happens if McDavid gets injured. You know he's like Ovi and is the only reason they're in the playoffs.
No hate, I LOVE watching the Oilers this year (and still remember the Gretzky days so legit respect), but at least tone down the "should be terrified of the oilers" lol.
Of course, this is just my biased opinion, your mileage may vary 😉
Forgot nuge man
Still don’t think they will win the cup this year. And if not soon then not for a long time. All these players will request big contracts and oilers can’t afford all of them. Also, the west is so weak compared to the east, especially the pacific. Power plays are limited in playoffs and oilers 5 on 5 will hurt them .
No cup. Guarantee it. McDavid will win a cup, but not with the Oilers
I don`t agree.
The Oilers for the most of the season had issues in the defense. They were never that stable, and it`s questionable if they are now, when the hockey changes.
Also, one of the biggest assets might not be the top 2 lines, but the depth additions. Kim Kostin is a player that helps them a lot, so is Desharnais. Bjugstad and RNH give them center and wing depth, Janmark helps a lot.
For the first time in the MCD era, the Oilers have a 3rd line that`s worth it`s name.
Still, they have question marks: Can the defense play solid in more intense physical games? So far the Oilers were never good at defending leads and had some epic collapses.
Will they have goaltending? Skinner is young, and Campbell looks like a expensive Smith 2.0 remake.
Another point is that the Oilers can finally run their topstars on 2 different lines, without having one of them a one man line due to lack of proper support from the wings.
RNH – MCD – Hyman is a pretty solid 1st line, but not that fearsome.
Add Kane – Draisaitl – Yamamoto and you will end up with a dangerous top 6.
Still, the pacific and the west is pretty evenly matched. VGK looks very strong for me too, and LAK play a very playoff style defensive hockey.
The Avs are on a roll too.
These playoffs will be epic!
No one is scared of edmonton
For years everyone said if the Oilers could get just average goaltending and a real defensemen, they will win the cup. We got both now. Our depth is big and mean. McDavid just chose to become the league's best scorer out of will. Draisaitl cementing himself as the best passer in NHL history while also being a 3x 50 goal scorer. Nuge hit 100 fucking points. Hyman has been one of the best signings this team has made in years. Kane was an insane signing that has worked perfectly in all facets despite all the warnings. The rise of Skinner as possibly an elite goaltender is nuts. Nurse with less workload looks much closer to his contract. Bouchard growing in to a very good defensemen with a killer slapshot.
All that aside, and I think the most important thing;
The team is in sync. The locker room is thriving. Woodcroft has the room. McDavid is really showing his captaincy. The leaders are leading and rookies are following. The complimentary pieces are doing their exact jobs. Everyone's hitting milestones.
There is serious fire under this year's Oilers team. I honestly think they go deeper than last year. Possible cup. Connor has pure rage in his eyes for the cup.
at least will make the finals
And Woodcroft slips right under the radar lol
Final
Don’t forget Nick Bjugstad…the forward depth this guy has brought to Edmonton is immeasurable, helping Nugent Hopkins big time.😊
Oilers going all the way. Boston vs Oilers cup final.
Well Edmonton itself is probably the most terrifying city in Canada so why not?
I think they can win it western conference is east besides avs and mcdavid is on a new level this year
Stanley's coming home… likely gonna stay home for 5 more…
Evander Kane also makes a big difference
Oilers to the finals!
Great video dude
I hope the Oilers DO go all the way!!! I’m a Habs fan for life, but I like the game the Oilers play and if it causes the obnoxious Leafs’ fans to have cluster aneurysms, that’s just a bonus!! 😂
Some deep knowledge of hockey, bro. Subscribed
Who is in net?
They're still going out in round 2 though.
# Oilersalltheway
all the way
The Oilers have allowed two goals in their last four games and if that continues they win the cup
Edmonton should be terrified of the NHL
I think number 4 is their depth. Teams can’t just concentrate on 29 & 97… no mention here of #93 having a career year or power forward #91 or crafty blue paint resident #18. Besides RNH, Kane and Hyman, the Oilers have had solid contributions from various other foot soldiers. This is a fully formed TEAM…and that makes them scary!
i can see them making it to the WCF again, after that it's hard to predict
