As a Preds fan it sucks to lose Jenneaot, but holy crap did Tampa overpay for him. Will gladly take Foote and 5 picks for a third line player

Wowsa!!! Huge return for the Preds for Jeannot going to Tampa and the Lightning get an immediate help to the lineup–IMHO, good deal for both teams.
Bit of a gamble, but he’s having an off year. Tampa must project him to really explode over the next few years. If they are right, they can sign him cheap in the summer due to his bad year. If they are wrong it will be a disaster, but if they are right they could get a heavy top six who can score long term at a bargain. The lightning gm must be feeling confident to make such a move, and he’s paid a lot more than we are for his opinions on hockey.

These trades are so subjective…no one ever knows how these draft picks will pan out. Great return for the preds, no doubt! We’ll see much sooner how Jeanott helps this already strong, strong, bolt squad in the playoffs!
I'm trying to wrap my mind around this trade…..Preds send Jeannot (5G, 9A=14 pts) to TBL for a HUGE haul of picks + Cal Foote!!!! Preds definitely came out in front on this trade!!!! I could be wrong on this but Jeannot does NOT improve TBL for a cup run!!!!
