Connor McDavid boarding on Mikey Anderson – Tough Call Suspension Recommendation

Connor McDavid was let off the hook with a minor penalty for boarding for this hit on Mikey Anderson. To me it was too avoidable to forgive.

  1. McDavid let up. He did not go full force into him. You can see the snow come off his blades to slow down. The right call was made. Message sent to the Kings, the Oilers will be hard to play against. That was NOT full arm extension…

  2. wtf the nhl is turning into a pu$$y ass league should that have been a penalty yes 6 game suspension straight up garbage

  3. Full arm extension? Which arms are you looking at his elbows don't have less than 45 degrees of flexion. Please go watch soccer and leave the hockey to the grown ups

  4. Connor is no goon. The cupcake who he hit went down pretty easily. There's no consistency in the league's penalty calling, ever since the bet bet bet became a major sponsor.

  5. Your a complete joke. Full arm extension..You've lost the plot. Wasnt even a hard hit. 6 games is outrageous. 2 at the very most.

  6. As much as I like McDavid I notice he's been dirty on more than one occasion last year or before he did a similar hit

  7. What happened to men protecting themselves? Joke or not. That’s why China produced 12 engineers to 1 to the US. Decadence. Mikey should learn the basic tenet of predators having their eyes pointing forward. A predator that turns its back to its foe is a dead one. I suggest you expose your spine to your next opponent, try it out for the species and the gene pool. I’m guessing you also struggle to find a date. How is that friend strategy working out for you?

  8. I feel like this play happens all the time but the D are just smarter to not put themselves in a bad position

  9. This commentator… "He doesn't have to put himself in a position to be eligible to get hit?" This is NHLhockey. You have to protect yourself, you can't just make sure your back is turned so you can't get hit. This isn't Atoms buddy, you'll have a really short career doing that. Guy is lucky McDavid went soft on the hit, and I agree with the call as it was, boarding with no suspension.

  10. McDavid could shoot a guy in the face and wouldn't get a single game. The headlines would read something like "McDavid is on another level" or "Is there anything magic McDavid can't do"

  11. L O V E T A P C L I C K B A I T

Today’s inexperienced neophytes generally have no idea how wimpy the NHL has become…especially growing up with the game in the ‘60-‘70’s. From the Broadstreet Bullies/Slap Shot era to the Battle of Alberta, of the ‘80’s.

From 5️⃣ Rings to ringette 😇

  12. Agee no effort let up if someone did that to him how goes he like it. His action crested high risk
    Of injury

  13. That was some lame analysis. April fool's I guess.
Refs got it right. 2 minute minor.

  14. This guy think he is so privlaged it's insane how he can complain about referees when he does stuff like this. Will be waiting for him to choke in the playoffs again

  15. I heard he cross-checked him in the back of the head from a coworker. Nothing of the sort here. But I see how this embellished story got wings. The commentary "Tough Call" is the first time I seen on Youtube & obviously invalid so I won't be able to take it serious at all to waste another return.

  16. In the context of the rule book yes this is boarding I agree but the game police’s itself that’s what makes hockey different

  17. No way is that a suspendable hit. That's just catching a guy awkwardly when it looked like he was gonna go back behind the goal and then switched directions. He knew he was coming and had time to get himself ready for the hit. He also didn't come in full stride speed. That's a 2 min boarding penalty.

  18. That’s a hit that happens 20 times a night across the league. The only reason a penalty was called was Mikey flopped to the ice like a rag doll. The reason the Kings didn’t go after McDavid is because they’re pro hockey players and know it wasn’t dirty. Just an unfortunate result.
