I respect Duchene and I think it is safe to say that his NHL career, while successful, hasn’t been exactly what he has wanted it to be. No hard feelings. That trade propelled us to a Stanly Cup.
That being said, I am happy to see this quote every year when he misses/is eliminated from the playoffs because that quote was a shitty thing to say to a franchise and fanbase when we felt pretty down and out.

Why does it seem like Duchene is part of the reason these teams aren’t making the playoffs? Does he have some sort curse or does he just bring so much negativity to the locker room that the entire team suffers? Maybe it’s just coincidental…
