The OTTAWA SENATORS Are the Team of the FUTURE!

In this video I talk about the Ottawa Senators franchise and how they went from the Conference Finals in 2017, to four straight years near the bottom of the league, and how they are now on the rise with many elite, young, and talented players. Some of these players include Tim Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk, Thomas Chabot, Jake Sanderson, Drake Batherson, and Josh Norris among many others!

  1. Sens are definitely a team on the rise and one of the more exciting teams to watch, even though they may lose more than they win. I know their record was awful last year (especially in the first 15-20 games) but they were one of the top teams in the North during the second half of the season.
If the young stars can take another jump up in development, and they get some solid goaltending this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them sneak into the playoffs.

  2. They're on the rise but imo they have more work to do. This is why I was concerned when Dorion came out and said "the rebuild is over". Also, their 2021 draft was pretty bad to put it kindly.

  3. When your at the bottom ….kinda easy to be on the rise. They won't be as good as you think.

  4. This video's title = instant sub for me.

    Well played sir…

Other than that the Sens are the team of the future. There are so many legit prospects its reached the point of stupidity. The have an identity, and the character pieces needed to get the vision accomplished.

  5. At the end of the season Murray showed signs of getting back to form. They are also deep in goal with prospects. Sokolov and Grieg are progressing very well with both potentially getting some games in the NHL this upcoming season. JBD and Pinto are looking great. Ppl questioned choosing Sanderson but all signs are pointing to him being a stud defenceman. As long as they can keep their core together and add a really skilled goal scorer player to their top 6 (probably via trade of picks and prospects they don’t have room for), and don’t rush anything, then they will be a lot of fun and one of the top teams in the league for years to come.

  6. Ha not with our cheap owner. He will trade away quality youth to avoid raises.

  7. I think with Montréal taking a big step back, Boston potentially regressing, and buffalo being buffalo (though they haven't been yet, albeit against not great teams), I think Ottawa has a legitimate shot at the top 3. Toronto may break under the pressure they have this year, Ottawa has already proven even last year they could beat them even with Matthews in the lineup.

Detroit is going to be similar to Ottawa and potentially they rise together and develop a real good rivalry that may be unexpected by most. Tampa and Florida are the only two teams I expect to be locked in for the top 3 spots, and i expect most teams to overlook Ottawa throughout the entire season. Even if they do well, I don't expect Ottawa will turn many heads until they make another unexpected playoff run as the Senators franchise historically have done many times.

  8. Update: Signed Claude Giroux, traded for all star level cam talbot, fleeced chicago for Alex debrincat, re build is over
