Florio reported about a month ago that Mac Jones was contacting Alabama, his alma mater, for assistance on running the offense at New England. Who was the offensive coordinator at Alabama? Bill O’Brien. Who’s the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots now? Bill O’Brien. I think the whole trade Mac Jones situation was a lot of nonsense. Why would you bring back O’Brien if Jones was “sabotaging” the team with him? The Judge-Patricia offensive coordinator story was a failed bit, and there is more pressure on Belichick to start winning. Think they are a real dark horse this year.
