I don't know what would put me to sleep better, the play of the Blue Jackets or their announcers.
I had forgotten Krebs was on my Sabres.
Hurts that the Sabres were ONE point short of making the playoffs. It's hard to celebrate another season missing the playoffs, but huge progress was made this season. They were in the hunt until the bitter end instead of being eliminated by the All-Star Break for the past decade.
Miss Tuch wish he was with the golden knights.

The Sabres appear to be really close to being onto something. If they can fix their defense/goaltending, I think they're a playoff team next season.
Sabres’ defense was ATROCIOUS this game, which is fair tbh. Samuelsson wasn’t playing and Joki was injured pretty early on, so we had 5 defensemen for most of the game (only 2 of whom were from our regular top 4). The key difference between this and one of our march games is that Levi was able to keep things stable enough for the team to regain composure and make necessary adjustments. I still think UPL will be good if he’s given more development time, but Levi looks ready now.
Kale Clague was great this game, was on the ice for the Sabres’ first 4 goals, getting an assist on one. It wasn’t just luck that he happened to be out there for all of them either, he had a great on-ice xgoals differential so he legitimately contributed to offense.
Rousek also looked great, I hope he’s in the lineup more next year
I’m biased, but replacing some of the bottom 6 players (ESPECIALLY defensively, lol) on the Sabres + Levi being the 1A/1B, this team has a good chance for a big breakout. Fingers crossed!
