Rugby most violent tour | Lions Vs South Africa 2009

In this video, I have gathered all the best moments of the last British and Irish Lions Tour in South Africa that was in 2009.

With some of the best players in the world like Brian O’Driscoll, Ronan O’Gara, Brian Habana, Shane Williams, Bakkies Botha, Bismarck Du Plessis, and much more! The 3-match Test series featured some of the most incredible games in Rugby history.

South Africa won the first 2 games of the series and lost the third one in one of the most exciting games of rugby!

I hope that you will enjoy the video and that you are ready for what will happen in July!

  1. As a Brit, and ex serviceman, who has drank and fought alongside (and maybe against a few times) my ‘Saffa’ brothers and colleagues, I can honestly say: you’re not going to intimidate or muscle out an Afrikaans soldier or athlete. Absolute warriors almost to a man. Great series and great entertainment.

  2. I don't know about most 'violent', most exciting, most evenly matched, most hard-fought, I would think

  3. There must be a level of homosexuality to enjoy big men in tight shorts jumping on top of you . Wouldn't dream of it myself

  4. Not sure about rugby most violent tour when you have the 1974 Lions tour to South Africa and the 1976 All Black tour to South Africa!

  5. Who says this is violent rugby. All I see is push and shove and baby hits. Put some gloves on then and go sort it out in the ring. This is rugby not boxing. Freaking boring…

  6. Have you ever seen the 1974 Lions tour to SA? Considerably more violent. Generally, rugby players were more violent in the amateur era. You rarely see a full on punch these days. Do you remember people rucking players heads with their studs if they were in the wrong place. That was LEGAL!!!

  7. These test matches were played with the greatest intensity ever known to mankind

  8. Everytime bakkies takes a knee he asks God for forgiveness and to help him punch straight.

  9. I remember this series very well, Bakkies dislocated somebodies shoulder whilst clearing them out in the first Test

  10. Ooh look south Africa the world must see they are stuck in the 80's, they are clearly not feared by anyone other than the refs who will soon turn down their games. Weak

  11. Probably one of the best tours just a shame south Africa will be remembered as yob scum, not great players like the all blacks in their honour and humility.

  12. Don't get me too wrong as I like rugby, but I see a lot of cheap shots in these vids. Like, let's wait for them to be walking away and then start pushing and shoving. Let's hold onto someone until my mate can get him from behind.

Man up and hit them from the front

  13. If you did that anywhere outside of a Rugby ground you would get charged for it by the police

  14. Wow so many justified reasons to drop the gloves. Thank god for hockey. We can settle our differences right then.
