Winning the game against the pens did it for this year's draft. Blackhawks will beat Philly tonight, move above SJ and end up picking 6th at the draft, nobody special will come in and will be traded 2 years down the road. Rinse and repeat like it has been for years.

Unless the Hawks are able to get the first overall pick in Connor Bedard, Kyle Davidson will go down as the WORST GM the Hawks have ever had! The days of Toews, Kane, Seabrook, Keith and Crawford raising the Stanley Cup are over. Those Chicago Blackhawks Team ruled the NHL for 10 years. Will take another 10 years to get to that status and it starts with Bedard!!!

While a rebuild was overdue, I have little faith that Davidson can pull it off. A ton of draft picks, but the Blackhawks have drafted poorly for years, and Davidson was at some level, involved.

Kyle you had a great draft last year if you hit on one of the top three in this years draft you need to start to accelerate the rebuild with the younger players that are ready to join the big club as well as to start filling out the roster talented free agents. We have been waiting since 2018 for this to turn around you have the draft capital in regards to assets if you really work it you can move this up a year or two. We are suffering as fans and I feel we have really talented young players with the combo of some trades of draft picks and free agent signings to move this forward FASTER
If you don't have someone on the team right now to be a leader, then you keep Toews. If you're going to trade for a leader, then you keep Toews. If you remember when Hossa was here, he was a clear team leader. I don't know if you heard the video of Toews being mic 'ed for the game he was constantly talking to the guys about what to do, where they should set-up and where he will be. And no, you don't sign someone as a stop gap for WHEN a minor leaguer is ready. If a minor leaguer is "trapped" you trade him or the veteran for value.
