Fallout? 1) Hextall is gone. 1a) Sorry Burkie, you too. 2) Jarry accepts a team-VERY-friendly contract, or he is allowed to walk away and test the market. 3) Find SOME way to rid yourself of Granlund, Carter and Petry.
Imagine starting watching the Penguins in 1993 knowing you just missed two Stanley Cups and waiting till 2009 to see your first and then 2016/17 to feel like you got your chance at the back to backs you missed in 91/92 because you just happen to live in South Carolina where no one knows what hockey was until the mighty ducks movie. Thatโs my story!
I see what yall are saying about Jarry might stay, but what has he done in years past? He has 2 playoff wins in his whole career

They need serious work. Hextall has got to go, release Malkin, get better goaltending and draft picks that actually matter. Some of those WBS players need to be called up and play. The game has changed and the team is just too slow and old. They don't have it. Hextall and Fenway made it worse.

Watched 82 games and for what? DeSmith has been hot recently. Are we confused on who is/was #1 and #2? And for Geno to be the most penalized penguin ever tells me no one's ever checked him. Think of how much 5-5 time was lost bc of that. Both he and Letang have gotten away with being high-risk / high-reward for almost 2 decades & no coach or GM has had the balls to straighten them out. I cringe EVERY time either of them gets the puck.
I'd bring up Ty Smith. He's solid

They lost so many games that they should've won. I'm angry. I'm angry because this team is so much better than what was out there. They need to change the name of this team to the Tin Men.. No Heart. Sid is not a vocal leader. That's ok. We all know this. This is where they needed a Carter to step up. To be honest this is not even about hockey. Its about heart! It's about fire. Gino has fire but doesn't fire others up. Damn bunch of Tin Men..

Gotta wonder about Sullivan. How does that team miss the playoffs? They should have let Letang go before the season. Top of his game? -15 or so? Power play points can be replaced.
The Penguins need a gm who can trade well to clean up this mess. I think its doable, but going to take someone with balls to make some big decisions/changes. Also, we need a new coaching staff. He had no answer for this teams roster (deployment), hasn't won a playoff series in years and now can't even make the playoffs. Remember our teams roster was way better than most of the bottom dwelling teams we eventually lost to. That's on coaching and player performance. Win those games and we are in. Fresh start with a fresh voice and for F@%CK sake, a new system that works for our aged roster. Enough of this perimeter peppering BS and streched out defense.
If hextall isnโt fired I donโt watch another game until that happens. He ruined this team period. No one can convince me otherwise. Hextall ruined us.
Dumo has to go!!!! Jarry has to go!!!! clean out the underperforming players and trade for good ones. You can not keep rolling out these players and expect better results.

Great content guys! Btw; Tristan Jarry may have been a all-star keeper a couple of seasons, but he is not among the top 10 goalies in the league. We need a goalie that can win us games, and we havent had that since yhe Murray and Fleury tandem
I as a fan am forever grateful for what Mike Sullivan did in 2016 (honestly could be a sports movie) and of course 2017 but at some point the blown leads and series have to matter. Il excuse 2018 for obvious reasons but the 2019 sweep was awful the bubble loss to Montreal was appalling especially the 3 1 meltdown. 2021 was more on jarry but they still blew 2 third period leads and 3 leads in game 6. Last year was worst of all and yes ik a third string goalie was in but they literally made history losing 3 elimination games after leading and they probably would have won in 5 if he just took a time our after the first goal or if his team didnโt give up dumb penalties while in control thatโs on coaching . And we donโt even need to go over the 100 blown games this year as well as deployment gaffs. Heโs a good coach but heโs not what this team needs right now he can help a younger more fiery team this team needs a different voice. Hextoll needs to get fired yesterday but sully should be allowed to gracefully resign. Also Todd reidern sucks ass and should be fired like hextoll
The Penguins missed the playoffs. That's sad for the fans. But everyone needs to calm the f**k down! I've seen "Fire Hextall!", "Fire Sullivan!"; hell, I've even seen calls to trade Crosby!! These are all ludicrous. Guess what? Another generational player is also getting an early off-season. Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals have had their tee times booked for a month now. I'm not seeing any calls to break them up. The Penguins need a few tweaks in the off-season. They need a better back-up goalie and they need to get bigger on defense. So, if you're a Pens or Caps fan, lick your wounds and pick another team to cheer through the 2023 playoffs. For me, that's gonna be Toronto!!
As an Islander fan, I still can't believe the Pens blew it against Chicago. I thought for sure the Isles were screwed after losing to the Craps.

Injured or not, Jarry is a mediocre goalie who turns into a terrible goalie when it matters most.
