  1. This was done for /r/mlb and wanted to do it for us now that the playoffs are starting

  2. Lopajsgelf

Kaiserair idek whag that is. Kaiser permanente plane?

  3. evil_caveman

I can’t believe the back to back champion Bolts fly fucking Delta

  4. NefCanuck

    An MD-80?

Eyikes, that’s some ancient (and bad) aviation tech there 😱

  5. PAguy213

We need that meme with Detroit sneering down on the peasants.

  6. yvr-wine

I find it interesting that Seattle flys on air Canada

  7. 0_Percent_Liberal

I find it crazy that Detroit is the only team that owns their own jet. I would think that as much as the teams travel, it would be more cost-effective to own one.

  8. Garyjohnson1969

Unless Detroit has un upgraded version, that plane has been decommissioned a long time ago. It’s sitting at the Detroit airport for firefighter training.

  9. Strypes4686

    The Wings are upgrading again?

    They had Redbird 3 since like… 2015.

  10. Buffalo switched from iaero to air Canada this season

  11. ShiddyMcDumpybutt

As a Sharks fan, it’s nice knowing that everyone else are peasants while we travel like royalty.

  12. info-warz

Hoe do AHL/ECHL teams travel across the continent?

  13. Ok_Sentence_5767

Can confirm that i saw the maple leafs plane at farmingdale republic airport

  14. jordanramsey41

Mr.Illich treating the Red Wings well Rip

  15. Foreign-Painting-362

Kraken showin no love for Alaska air?!

  16. Waffles_Remix

My team’s plane is bigger than your team’s! Suck it!

  17. Tbh its kind of hilarious Chicago doesn’t fly United

  18. Ill-Preparation7555

I’m surprised the Kraken fly an airbus what with Boeing being located in Seattle.

  19. Atty_for_hire

This is funny, but the Sabres broadcast had an end of season chit chat piece last night and air travel came up. The color guy said he liked the snacks on the plane, because he gets tomato chips and all dressed because they fly Air Canada. So not sure about this.

  20. kermitthefrog57

Oh you don’t have your own plane *scoffs*

  21. redittjoe

I saw this on the MLB sub also. All I could think of when I saw Detroit Tigers were flying on a plain first commissioned in like 1980 was from the movie Major League. Especially when the team flew on the prop plane. Also the scene of the flight crew taping one of the propellers.

  22. this_very_boutique

    MD80?

Wow, I used to take those from Bellingham to Vegas (cheap Canadian here, please don’t judge me) and wow, the creaking and cracking noises those suckers made…

  23. CherryNim

Pretty sure the Tigers were the only team to have a team-owned plane in the MLB version of this too. TF is going on in Detroit lol

  24. BlazeChicago28

Find it funny that the Blackhawks don’t fly with United Airlines

  25. Kazorking

I wonder if it was because Detroit was in the west, and had to fly literally everywhere for games
