Don’t think i ever saw anyone post this. Pretty crazy that at least one player was going to management about things.

All due respect to both Luke and Bruce, I don’t think it’s fair to say Bruce did a good job this season. Last season? Yeah absolutely. I love Bruce, I might be his biggest fan girl in the world.

I still don’t like how he was fired but his results were no where close to anything that indicated a good job from September onwards. I think Miller’s comments from yesterday somewhat infer that the players liked and respected Bruce, but that they were frustrated by not having clear roles or instruction.

Bruce said he knew he wasn’t in the plans mid summer, a lot of this drama is due to the fact Aquallini went and stuck his nose in where it doesn’t belong by signing the coach himself with a really weird option year.

So they’re not gonna re-sign Schenn.

  4. Not surprised. Luke is a stand up guy and a hell of a leader.

Bruce sucked last season, didn’t coach the way the team is supposed to play, collecting checks knowing he was going to get fired.

My take on the whole thing was Demko was injured and played with a nagging injury until it became so bad he couldn’t play with it. He finally took the time he needed to recover and when he came back, he was absolutely the Demko we expected.

I have no doubt we won games because of his performance, that combined with a much easier schedule. Maybe there was some conflict with Bo too, I don’t know.

I legit think that next season we’re not going to be much better. Hronek will help, for sure, but I view this season as the same as last.

New coach: we knock it out the park for the remainder of the season with no major changes. Next year I see us stumbling out the gate, again, and we’ll be another middling team, again. Too shitty to contend in a meaningful way, too good to be horrendous like Anaheim.

At this point I genuinely think *ownership* either needs to go or finally gets his head out of his ass and learns that you need a few years of pain to actually put together a contender.

I got lucky, I got to talk to Luke fairly often while he was here and he was such a nice guy. It was sad to see the stress he was under at the end, with the baby coming during a trade. I hope we get him back again, but I guess if he told management off it’s not as likely.

Love Schenn, management and ownership can eat a bag of dicks for how they handled Boudreau though.

Im just picturing Luke Schenn going up to Rutherfords office, knocking on his door.. and challenging him to a fist fight.

  10. Bruce is a heck of a nice guy and what management did was incompetent but I’ll take RicTok and structure any day of the week over cheerleading with zero guidance.

Schenn was a beauty for this team
