The Caps definitely got the best deal here. Sandin will end up being better than the guy the Leafs got. As for the pick, you never know what you’re getting and how long do you have to wait to see what you have. Sandin was never given a solid chance. As for Lilegren, he was drafted “Before” Sandin.

One big area of opportunity for Leaf’s organization is the ability to draft and develop D – men.

Sometimes you have to make a trade like this to better your team now with all the moves Toronto has 22 games left so they are a much better team going down the stretch of the regular season and into the first round of the playoffs
I wish Sandin all the best he will be a good asset for Washington Capitals
The LEAFS still have to get rid of morgan he is not playing defense , he let's players go by him without even checking them and leaving his goalie all alone . Getting rid of Morgan would give Toronto more cap space for better players who and could help the team, I just hope they trade the plug. 🙂 🙂

Sandin is a decent player, but very slow foot speed. Gets beaten a lot in races to the puck.
