The Rise of Nazem Kadri: From OHL Superstar to NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup Champion

From his early days with the Kitchener Rangers to his impressive career with the London Knights, Kadri showed that he had what it takes to become a hockey superstar. His talent on the ice didn’t go unnoticed, as he was drafted in the first round, seventh overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2009 NHL Draft. In his OHL career, Kadri scored 22 points as a rookie with Kitchener and was a key player for the Rangers’ in 2008 when they won the Robertson Cup as OHL champions. After being traded to the Knights, Kadri finished his third season with 25 goals and 78 points in 56 games. Kadri is now a two-time NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup champion with the Colorado Avalanche, but his OHL career helped shape him into the player he is today.
