I remember how I felt after we traded the greatest player in the game to LA. Last night the greatest player in the game was also LAโs best weapon.
Oilers need to stay out of the box. They also need to do more long range shots on net with only purpose being to get offensive zone face offs. They get stuck in this neutral zone cycle where the king can keep them mostly to the outside. They need the face off to break that reset and then they can get inside.
Tbh I saw this coming. Gary is determined to hand the cup to his precious golden knights this year. He knows they cant beat the Oilers fairly. so he will have his refs take them out first, knowing the Kings will get slaughtered in round 2.
As an Oilers fan this game was pain. The younger, obviously better team DOMINATES, and then loses to the measured veterans because of dumb penalties and a lack of discipline. It was like Anakin getting chopped in half by Obi Wan. Why'd you try to jump over their head McDavid?! They cut you in half dum dum!

I got tired of hearing some Oilers fans go on about how great they were against non playoff teams and I said beating a bottom 5 team like the Sharks means less and it does. Some Oilers fans got offended I said beating the sharks or any bottom 10 team means less.
