  1. He made some good and bad trades. Never forget when he traded Dougie Hamilton AND Adam Fox for Lindholm and Hanifin.

  2. weird choice. he did a great job of replacing the rats that abandoned the ship. sutter is the guy who dropped the ball. must have friends in high places.

  3. The Calgary Flames under Brad Treliving never saw playoff success in consecutive seasons although the same team hasn't had playoff success in consecutive seasons since the 1980s either. Perhaps a new GM will help give that team the jump start it absolutely needs to, perhaps in a few seasons from now, contend for a Stanley Cup.

  4. Can’t wait for Huberdeau to get shipped to Nashville with Kadri and Weegar in exchange for Ryan Johansen, Alex Carrier, and some mid round pick.

  5. Treliving probably said it's me or Sutter and Treliving was shown the door.

  6. The flames suck lol. There paying huberdeau 10.5 million for 8 more seasons and didn’t even hit 15 goals haha. They have kadri for like 6 more years and he sucks . The flames are screwed for years to come

  7. I don't like the Flames that much, but I would not even wish Jim Benning on them. And maybe not being a Flames fan alters my perspective, but I don't think Treliving did a bad job. He made the team competitive (which involved being smart enough to grab Canucks castoffs and they played well for the Flames), he took a perilous situation with Tkachuk and Gaudreau leaving and pulled off moves to keep them competitive this season. It did not work out as we can now see, but last summer everyone acknowledged he did the best he could with an unfortunate situation. I don't think he deserved to go. I would have thought Sutter should go first.

  8. My opinion the Flames should go for a new coach Sutter's style just does not work like it did when he won the cup in LA in 2012 and 2014 since 2014 he has not been on a team to make it further than the 2nd round feels like he lost what it takes to get a team deep in the playoffs

  9. It wasn't Treliving's or Sutter's fault. This year was ALL on the players. No one except for Taffoli played up to their contracts. The goalies too were aweful. 4 or 5 more saves and the Flames would have been in the Playoffs.

  10. Jim Benning is a nitwit. How many Stanley Cups did Vancouver win.We don't need old boy network crap now. The work done by Brad Pascall with the AHL Wrangler's speak's for itself. Hire him and only him.
