    This series is FAR from over, but there is a fundamental difference between the Lightning and the Leafs. You have a Lightning core that has been effective and went to the final in 2015. Apart from the years that they got smoked by Columbus and didn't make the playoffs, they have had massive success in the post season. The Leafs have NOT had anywhere close to the playoff success that the Lightning have had. That is why this years game one is different from the 0-5 loss the Lightning had last year. Again, it's no where near over but Tampa has the pedigree and the experience, Leafs lack it.

    Leafs would of had the same result if they had vasilevskiy in net with the way the team played or didn’t play.

    I'm fed up with excuses, after all the 1'st round exits why can't you call a spade a spade this team has huge holes in it! They don't hit, they can't clear the front of the net and the actor they have playing their the number one goal scorer could not care less, he just acts like he does, and the guy who suppose to get him the puck is so panicked he gives the puck away!!!!

    As a Bolts fan, with all that talent the Leafs have, I’m very surprised they didn’t come out attacking more often. They didn’t have an answer at the start while the Bolts came out wanting blood

    The leafs lookedhorrible. Andyou realize all they r is like 3 or 4 good forwards. But even their core isn't as good as he rangers, oilers, avs and lightning. But they think they r. But they're just a Dany hestly alfreddson situation. Not benefitted from playing in a tough division. But it's lasted longer than Chicago's great run in the early 2010s. And it feels like it's dwindling and can't go on. ThEyre just an Eberle hall rebuild that did well. But r immature. It doesn't feel like what they have is the solution, and it's coming to an end. That's what I take and see from, the game last night.
    The lightning have a killer mentality. The leafs have playoff trauma and a weak backbone and I think there's a realization and lack of accepting that this isn't working.

    As a Lightning fan…and I'll speak for ALL non-Leaf fans…the sheer HUBRIS of Leaf Fan is amusing but also infuriating. Leaf Fan has ZERO reason for their mis-placed, over-confidence. That team hasn't done diddly-poo since they've been together! But THIS YEAR, they're just gonna lace up the skates and roll the back-to-back-to-back-to-back Stanley Cup finalists!? Guess what Leaf Fan? The bully just came up, punched you in the mouth, AGAIN…and took your lunch money. AGAIN. Now go do something about it or go sit at the kids table while the adults fight for the Cup.

    When the Leafs focus on scoring there the best team in the NHL with not a doubt, but when they play sloppy and juat focus on defence and take penalties there not so great so thats the ishue so fix it it mr Keefe no stop taking so many penalties and come out and play like your starving like you want to eat Tampa for lunch

    because of tavares $11 million contract they cannot sign any decent players for the 3rd and 4th line! you cant expect to sign a few scrubs like aston-reese, lafferty, and acciara, and think they will hold down the fort come playoff time. expect more of the same, the leafs 3rd and 4th line being Dominated by 50 year old corey perry, its going to be a quick series. BUY OUT TAVARES CONTRACT and let him walk, he cant skate to begin with and has 1 5 on 5 goal in the last 20 games GET RID OF TAVARES!!!

    Game 1 was an utter and bewildering embarrassment. No idea how a team that finished the regular season with over 100 + pts could play so poorly. Leafs were 3 levels of magnitude lower in intensity, skating, work ethic and positional play than Tampa.

    This mess began with trading Kadri for Kerfoot, then signing Rielly to an unimaginably egregious contract. Done like dinner, an unpalatable dinner. Where is the Tiger when we need him?

    I use the Babcock saying "Start On Time" if you loose game two it's over in my view. The Top Guys have to be double shifted to get away from matchups with the last change.
