After watching in slow motion, it’s quite clear the Dallas player lifts the dmans stick while he has one hand on it ,and gets the Dallas player in the face. Tough call for the ref to see, but if they reviewed it, the call would have been no penalty on the play.
It's funny because you can see Marchment's stick lifts Middleton's. Though you could say Middleton didn't have control of his stick if he let that happen.
To everyone saying this was not intentionnal…. that's not how it works. You are responsable of your stick at all time. Either it slash someone in the face, or someone skate on it. If it's your stick, then it's your fault.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but the exact play happened in overtime in Carolina. Double minor here, no call results in an immediate goal against on isles.
What shocks me more than the penalty outcome, is that Domi didn't search around for the smallest Euro on the other team and then punch him from behind.. absolutely shocked

That's one of two double minor high sticks tonight!
Also, I hear Boston/Florida REALLY got good near the end!
Looks like his own player flings that stick
Should correct the title because Middleton didn't do anything.
His stick got lifted by a Dallas goon.
Weak call
Not to say Domi doesn't need his head realigned now and then, but that's a penalty.
Absolutely not intentional ..bad call
Bunting is getting an extra game for this

And the Oscar goes to…
Domi has had a tough year. He’s great though.
Ukrainian referees last night
This game got real chippy! 7 guys getting game misconducts by the time it was all over 😂

Can you upload the Phil Danault goal? #request
Never liked lifted sticks called high sticking.
I thought it was playoffs. What was the official doing with a whistle?
Looked to me like the Dallas player stick-lifted the Wild player's stick, and that's what got Domi in the face.
Was there blood? How is that a double minor?
How is that a double minor? No cut. Also it shouldn't even be a penalty because the its the Dallas player that lifts both sticks up to Domi's face
Why does the NHL force players to not where something to protect their mouth? You would take unnecessary damage that you would not take in college.
Does it not look like the stars player lifts Middletons stick up?? Double minor 😑
The crowd was electric last night. The reason I know? I was there! 🔥🔥🔥

NHL officiating is horrendous.
Its a fact that Domi has played for every single NHL team and few more that arent around anymore.
