Looks like the Kings found a weakness in Skinner’s coverage of the net.
Edit: so he does cover the post with his pad, but he gets the toe of his skate behind the post pretty slowly instead of getting his pad against the post immediately

He does, except when he does strong side save into RVH. When he plays low RVH cross-crease, he seals correctly.
One of those things where he cheats to push off the post since it’s easier to push off the post with the blade than the toe. He’s probably expecting a wraparound or bounce pass across.

Both those goals were second and third whacks. The defence should have assisted better

Don’t get me wrong I love skinner but I have to disagree, both goals he should have saved. First one, he was soft after the first save and should’ve hugged the net. Second one he should’ve sealed the net better. That was in no way a AAA chance, Kings players kept to the outside, goalie needs to make that save

He just explained this to Gregor in the post-game interviews. Look it up on the oilers site – he explains the play and how he’ll correct moving forward to cover the post better.

First goal, Skinner made the save and had no help when Danault had time to Lift the puck on the rebound. That’s on the team for giving a good forward too much time in front.,
The second goal was Skinners fault for not covering the post.

I don’t like that second goal. That should not go in the net imo.

Seriously?
If you google you can find even more pictures of him doing it properly, but you ignored those. lol
You don’t get to this level without understanding these things. On top of that no goalie is always in perfect form, especially while in hectic situations within a game. 9/10 he probably is, but other times he isn’t. Get over it.

Second goal he had his skate blade against the post instead of his pad. That’s what created the gap allowing the puck to sneak through.
NSF_Ghost
His post play is one of the best aspects of his game. Just two goals he wants back.

Something to pay more attention to.
