Tampa is just a better playoff team. It’s like the dynasty Hawks of the 2010’s. You don’t have to win the regular season because playoff hockey is where it matters and let’s face it… the leafs just are too soft and don’t have the leadership to drive them towards the final goal.

Leafs legs were like jello for 12-14 min of beginning of game from anxiety. I don't think the players should openly admit to anxiety with how there body is feeling at the beginnining of games but JT stated they needed to control any jitters better when he was asked. I think these guys individually should be having a better mindset. They need to ACCEPT the anxiety they have ride the wave. If you keep telling yourself in game and try or fight to control any anxiety your brain can set you on a panic attack and the anxiety will get worse. They just need to accept there feelings in the moment and ride with it. Leafs would've come back in that game but officials seemed to control game momentum. Some were penalties some were not. Not calling penalities on Tampa when they were clear violations. It is what it is. I don't like how the games are controlled by the league. ESPN was all over officials.

Cernak went forward into Bunts got the wrong end of his arm. 100% unintentional. The Refs reviewed and took the opportunity to give an unnecessary major and seal the win to the Bolts.

If that's a slash then that should be called basically every shift on every second player, not to mention the one handed "crosscheck" refs killed every chance of a hockey game from happening
14:06 You guys are out to lunch. Refs had a HUGE HUGE impact on deciding the game winner, Bolts got away with multiple instances of "murder". It's a repeat with the Refs loving the Bolts every year. Absolutely disgusting officiating. So sick of the NHL.
We were taught as young hockey players to not retaliate, take the # and play on, your only going to hurt your team, same in the pros, and you have to work harder than the other guy, win your personal 50/50 puck battles, Tampa did a better job at all of the above, it's not rocket science, dig deeper than the other guy, basic fundamental defensive hockey, it's not pretty or flashy but it wins hockey games.

Hockey gods aren't happy with the price of leaf tickets. For as long as true fans can't afford to watch a game the leafs will never compete for the Lord's cup. You can see it in the stands, thousands of empty seats because investors buy up tickets and inflate the price so nobody buys the ticket. The curse will not be lifted until they allow true fans to afford the experience. I have spoken.
Listening to Leafs fans blaming the refs when they're team lost by 4 goals to an injured team who has played the most hockey of any team in the last five years and we're missing their top 2 dmen for most of the game. Stop playing victim and play hockey.
If you have to blame the refs for a team loss then youre as clueless as they come. This team wasnt ready(per usual) to play a playoff game. Youre team gave up 7 goals, your coach refused to make the proper adjustments… again, its only game 1 so theres no need to panic but some lineup changes need to be made and some egos and attitudes need to be put in check if the Leafs think they are going to win this series…. including the coach

I was lucky to go to the game last nite with 3 buddies, 1 pair of greens and one pair of reds. Had dinner ( not at the rink) before hand and sat in the bar for the 3rd period ( 1st time I have ever done that but i was so disgusted i couldn't go back to my seats) Total cost including drinks during the game about $2700.00 . Next time I will take my wife to Cuba , all inclusive, on a plane for a WEEK!!!!! How does that make sense MLSE??????? How can these players ( and the coach!) look themselves in the mirror knowing full well that their effort was pathetic all who attended felt very ripped off.
